Heck, Cal tried to give away the 2012 title by slowing it down. Will he ever learn to not grind it out and play to the opponents pace?
It truly is bizarre. I’m a big believer in Cal, but if there’s an obvious knock on him it’s that he’s let a few significant games get away.

given the team they played (terrible) and what was on the line I think it may be.

It has to be up there. Maybe UCONN in 2014 but this one was awful.
No, frickin’ Crazzed. We lost to Robert Morris in the NIT. This is a regular season hiccup compared to that.

Folks, when you play a team that fouls every time you try to run anything it turns out ugly. It's obvious they changed who they were going to foul in the second half. And that strategy worked tonight. The officials missed some, but they called what the players presented them. This wasn't even close to the worse loss. The worst was in Houston against UCONN in the final four.

Maybe we’ll get lucky and a bunch of people will confuse Quade for Shai and they’ll take Green in the draft instead.

Yeah. Seriously. What’s more embarrassing than going to the NIT?

Losing in the first round of the NIT.

We made it to the Sweet 16 with a team we all thought was headed to the NIT two months ago. No where near the worst loss. WVU in his first year was worse because of the talent we had. We don't have five first rounders on this team.

Disagree. That was a silly, meaningless NIT game.
This was to get to the Elite 8 with a clear path to another FF.

This loss is 5 times worse, imo.

Might feel bad, but nothing is more embarrassing than the NIT game.

And if the logic here is that tonight’s worse because of what we didn’t accomplish, then I don’t know how any loss could be worse than Wisconsin.

                      Ever.

I know it's late, we are upset, frustrated, you name it. But, why? We are all adults, sitting on our couch, phones or laptops at our fingers, complaining about some 18 year olds playing basketball. I'm competitive, I love to win, I love the Cats, and yes, it sucks we lost knowing we had an easy path to the final four. Wait, easy? Winning six games in a row isn't easy. Not at this level. We are in the middle of a great era of Kentucky basketball. We aren't the focus of big scandals, we haven't had to vacate a title, our coach isn't recorded talking about paying players. We could be in a far worse position than making the Sweet 16 with a team that was NIT bound two months ago. Yet, we have adults losing sleep, cursing, throwing the TV remote, and kicking their dogs because we watched a bunch of teenagers lose a basketball game. Cal isn't perfect. No one is. If the biggest knock on him is he should have more championships I think we are doing ok. I'm happy to be a Cat fan and am looking forward to figuring out our team for next season.

This very well may be the post of the season, in my opinion.

In the end the freshmen played like freshmen. They were tentative from outset and played listlessly most of the game. I never saw urgency and that is a hallmark of a freshmen team.

Officiating was horrible. 50 fouls! That just horrible. Unless they thought a fight was about to break out there was no reason for that. To me that shows those guys were nothing but attention hounds in front of the camera. They ruined what could have been a decent game. They should be fired but as we all know officials seemingly have no accountabilty and things will go on as usual.

Bad coaching at the end. Why Cal won't call a timeout when you have a freshmen team is unthinkable. He did it against Tennessee too. You would think he would learn from that. May not have made any difference but we will never know.
UK gave back a gift. They went to the return desk at Wal-Mart and said we have no use for this gift of a Final Four. Take it back and give it to another set of Wildcats. They will never get an easier road.

Now is the freshmen watch. Who will go and who won't? I despise this. That's the reason I am bowing out of here for a while and maybe forever. If everyone leaves who I expect to leave UK will be starting over again for another season. Maybe a couple of more veterans but once again basically a new team. I'm tired of this and its time to move on. We will see what happens over the next few months but I expect the same ole song. Cal's a great coach and he's great at what he does. You can never argue his success. But I like more stability and growth from season to season. Not a bunch of new faces and the same learning experience every year.
                                Kentucky fan since 1971.
