I completely agree with another poster that this team is looking like the team we have been expecting all year---this team now would go 16-0 in the sec!!!!

I've only seen them twice, maybe three times, but I did watch all 40 minutes of that game last night.

With Wade they're probably like Florida, but not nearly as strong at the point guard. Physical forwards, some rim-protecting height, and a solid slashing perimeter player in Brown. There will be scoring droughts in this game and it'll likely come down to who goes through theirs last.

It should pretty much be a home game for us, and they weren't great on the road. West Virginia beat them by almost 40 in Morgantown in early February.

Must admit I did not believe we would be playing this week back in February. I much preferred being an underdog however, I hope our young players have not been listening to the pundits and many of our fans. The cakewalk to the Final Four could end up being derailed quite easily, we are simply not good enough to play at any less than our best. K State is a very dangerous team and could easily beat us if we don’t give it 110 percent

I knew there was something between him and Cal. Just couldn't remember until you mentioned that. Cal will be motivated. He is usually good at moving that motivation to his team.

Here's John Clay's column on five things to know about K-State. When you look at their schedule and who they beat you almost wonder how they got into the NCAA's. The best OOC teams they beat were Georgia and Vanderbilt. They lost to Arizona State who barely made the tourney. They lost multiple times to Kansas,WVU and Texas Tech. They did beat Oklahoma once,TCU once and Texas, twice. That's the extent of quality wins. I guess its shows how medicor the teams were overall in college basketball this year. I know its slippery slope when you start looking at a long schedule and only the game at hand is the only one that matters. Still, UK should beat this team and have no one to blame but themselves if they don't.

If we play well, SEC tournament, Buffalo game well. We win. If we have one of those maddening, can't throw it in the ocean have never played organized basketball performances, we're in trouble.

I think Davidson and Buffalo would beat Kansas State. I think it will be tough game but UK should take over in last 6-7 minutes. I think UK wins in double digits.

Kenpom says UK wins 71-67 on a neutral court, 73-65 at home. Being Catlanta I would split the difference and say they predict UK winning 72-66
                  Sagarin says UK by 4
ESPN's BPI gives UK a 68.4% chance of winning
NCAA game simulator has 800 simulations and UK wins 56.4% of them with the average score being 69-67

I think all of these are somewhat low but with K State's slow play and solid defense it will likely be close and low scoring.

Uk's best is WAY better than K St's best. UK playing at even 80% of their capability wins this game.

Reports are that Kansas State's Dean Wade is practicing. So chances are we're going to see him tomorrow night.

Well, I've put the heartbreak behind me far enough now I suppose. Good luck tonight Cats. I will be pulling for you even though I'm pretty sure UK winning puts me just out of reach for the office pool

Besides, Lady_Cat will beat me if I don't pull for them. And I kind of like watching her watch the Cats win anyway.

                          Have fun watching, everyone.

                              Very prophetic.
