They came from far back to take the lead and lost on a detested shot that bounced in. I don't think they choked.

A Barnes team flamed out early. That's a choke job, as is his custom.

So much for the SEC. Went 1-3 today.

The Florida/Texas Tech game was ungodly. Texas Tech looks freaky good to me. First time I've watched them play other than bits and pieces. They're very good.

Thought UF played dumb. Hard and fearless, but dumb. TT looks like the best team in the tourney.

I've watched an embarrassing amount of basketball over the past week and a half, and the one major takeaway (other than this game is ridiculously fun when there's this much parity) is this:

They've got to do something about the charge/block in college. College officials cannot tell the difference between a flop and an actual foul, and kids are starting to flop virtually every time a guy drives into them.

Michigan had a WIDE OPEN layup for the tie and they attempted some silly circus shot that missed. Houston misses 2 FTs. Michigan now with a chance to tie with under 4 seconds left. If they lose, they can blame it on that stupid layup. FWIW, former Cat Charles Matthews plays for Michigan and has had a really good season.

Michigan wins on a last second 3!

WILD finish in the Houston/Michigan for all the night owls here.

Those two missed free throws are going to forever haunt the kid from Houston.

All things considered, this was probably the most entertaining opening weekend of an NCAA Tournament in a long time.

Absolutely. I can't think of a better one really.

The Michigan shot will be a one shining moment clip.

I posted this earlier and let me add to it. Three point shooters kicking their legs out into the defender and going down like they have been hit with a hammer.

Wow. Tech is a pretty good team. But the best in the tourney? I saw 3 teams yesterday in Villanova, Duke and UK who would have trounced them.
