I don't really care what fans of other schools do. I grew up in, work in, graduated from, and live right outside of Louisville in Bullitt county. I can't tell you how often I hear about the "weak SEC" from their fans. When our conference is successful it not only shuts them up but it makes Kentucky look better. Other fans can cheer against us all day and it doesn't bother me. Most people this time of the year pull for the underdog in a game they don't really care about. Typically the team we play is the underdog. Did you not find yourself pulling for Florida Gulf Coast, George Mason, Buffalo yesterday, Loyola Chicago, etc? I'm not saying you're up cheering, buying t-shirts, and painting your face, but giving a little grin when they pull up the upset? By the logic of "their fans don't cheer for us" we would probably never be able to cheer for anyone but Kentucky. I don't during the season, but this tournament is an entire different beast. I'm currently watching Providence vs A&M so go Aggies.

I'm with you. I always keep track of power conference tournament performance in the Big Dance and root for the SEC. Not much in the tournament bothered me more than when the Big East had 16 teams and not only did 11 teams get bids but 2 of them would be 1 seeds and 2 would be 2 seeds. Meanwhile the SEC would get 4 or 5 bids like a totally irrelevant conference. This year we should have had as many teams in as any conference but the committee had to give Syracuse a gift since they've been such an honorable program. I now root against all ACC teams because they are now the darling of the dance that the old Big East was.

Just to point out if the SEC does well and gains respect it should.....should help in seeding in future years. The ACC teams have more quad 1 wins because the teams in that league are always given more cred.
