Virginia’s staggering loss had nothing to do with their offensive style. It was all about the thing they have been the best at all year....defense. They had none. They gave up 53 points in ONE HALF.
I praised Bennett as a great coach lad week. I still think he is excellent. But this one will haunt him. And having 3 number one seeds and not getting to a FF with any of them is not a good look.
As for Missouri...Porter should not even be playing.

I have always said when a Tony Bennett coached team gets down double digits they have almost no chance of coming back because of their style of play. They proved that and more last night. You can't play slow all the time and then expect your team to speed it up and play a style they are uncomfortable in. Just won't happen. It's easier to go the other way fast to slow. I started watching when it like 19 all. I thought I will a while just to see if UMBC can hang around and make it interesting. They hung with them with a tie in the 1st half and just blew them out in 2nd half. Just amazing to watch. Everytime they showed Bennett he looked like he was about to cry. He had no answers you could tell.
One other note,UMBC has one more ACC win than Pitt this year.
It's plausible UK could play all double digit seeds in the South Region. Buffalo,UMBC and Loyola. Plausible but still not likely. I wouldn't mind it.Kentucky fan since 1971.Comment
