It's not surprising. They annually suck in the tournament.

It will hurt Zona worst if they have to vacate a loss.

Fortunately, you don't vacate losses, only wins.

Ended up 13-3 after day 1. Losses were Arizona, S. Dakota St., and Va. Tech. Could have been better but not bad.

Buffalo winning puts more pressure on The Cats. Buff must have something. Careful what you wish for....GO CATS!!!!

Lost in all of this is that the SEC was perfect yesterday. 4 for 4. Four more in action today. It would be something if they could all win today.

Buffalo was very impressive...but they also threw in so much ungodly slop that it was incredible. Hit a banked three. Guy hit a three that went all the way around the rim, hit the top of the backboard, and fell in. On one possession a guy lost the ball wildly and it fell right into the hands of another guy who was standing under the basket. Weird, flukish stuff.

BUT they clearly thought they could win that game at the tip. Their game plan was pitch perfect. Ayton was a hindrance in that game. That dreadlocked guy flat dominated him. And to me that's why Anthony Davis is the better player. Davis would have shut that game down. Ayton is a freak...but he's still 7'1". Those guys are always going to be at a disadvantage when the game gets fast.

Many years we've lamented our path in the tourney while others get breaks. Our path to the final four is not all of a sudden a cakewalk by any means but we have been helped more since the brackets came out than anyone. Starting with UVA's injured 6th man (which is truly a shame) and then Zona bowing out we have been put in a situation we need to take advantage of. Also a good challenge in the first game often seems sharpen team's focus so I hope we're ready to rock on Saturday. We've won 8 of 9, KEEP IT ROLLING BOYS!!

Agreed. Who would've thought that this team of all teams would be the one that's gotten some breaks.

The 2015 team should be a tad peeved. Ditto 2010.

Yep, UK has some breaks with the bracket this year. Now its time for them to take advantage. They can't take anyone lightly and every night will be a dogfight. But still you play the 2nd straight double digit seed. Play hard and play your game and you should be just fine.
