Tubby stealing millions from another school that should've known better in the first place. Where will he strike next?

I think what Will said about not connecting to the players is the biggest weakness with Tubby. Even today, I don't know if you see too many of Tubby's former players getting the warm fuzziness that Anthony Davis or Karl Towns have talked about with Cal.

I remember when he left, Bobby Perry said something afterwards about never hearing from Tubby at all. He wasn't into the family aspect of the program.

Indeed. Does that mean Billy Gillispie will be at Louisville after him?

I think the new temporary leadership at UL and Tubby would be a good fit. He may not connect with players or recruit very good, but he hasn't had any run-ins with the NCAA and would give them integrity while the program heals.

This may be the best U of L can hope for. I don't think Tubby winds up there, but I think they go with someone that gets the program on track and hopes for some stability down the road.

Then they'd be better off with Padgett
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

UofL needs to hire someone unlikable enough that I can feel good when we destroy them by 30 points. Pitino probably has no equal in that regard. Tom Crean is probably the best I could hope for, but he could do a lot better than Louisville with all the current openings.

They will never go with Tubby because they consider him a UK reject. Tom Crean would be a good pick for them. He built IU back to a good level from nothing. He knows how to rebuild anyway and to my knowledge he has no hint of scandal on his resume.

Maybe, although it's tough to see them wanting to stick with a vestige of the past.

Overheard a UofL fan I know saying last night that the rumor mill still has Chris Mack to Louisville.

I still find that extremely hard to believe. You're a #1 seed at Xavier. Why would you walk out of that for the bombed-out husk that is Louisville?

Two reasons Mack could go to Louisville...money (lots of it) and coaching in the ACC.
