Western Kentucky is going for a NCAA berth tonight in Sun Belt. Whoever wins that game may be a bid stealer. Middle Tennessee should get an at large bid but may not.

Not that many surprises in the conference tourneys this year. The Mountain West is the only other league that has a bid stealer. Nevada lost last night. They will likely get a bid and winner of that tourney will steal one from someone like Syracuse or Louisville.

No way that was a flagrant foul. I see screens set in every game that are much more malicious than that without even a foul call. Had it been anyone other than Allen it would have probably been a no call. That was a direct result of all the other things he has done.

I haven't seen the play where Allen got a flagrant, but I can't imagine an official calling a flagrant for a player just sticking his butt out. If anyone can find the video, please post it.

My first reaction to Bennett's teams is that they are incapable of explosive offense. But, I have changed my mind. When I've watched them these last few years, with talent they've groomed, I would say they are very, very, clinical. They just don't do a lot wrong. They do a lot right.

So many good passes. So many good screens. So many intelligent, designed plays. Communicate on defense.

In an atypical year, they certainly look the part of a traditional 1 seed. Like Bilas said in the telecast, Bennett is primed to become the head of the class in the ACC for the foreseeable future. Unless another powerhouse comes at him with enormous money.

^ Thanks for posting this. That foul was intentional which is what made it a flagrant 1. This time going to the monitor was the determining factor, and I commend this crew for getting it right. This young man has a issue that playing the game of basketball cannot solve. I really feel sorry for him and his future.

That was intentional. Thanks for posting that. Like BobS said, if he tries that in the pros someone will flatten him and the refs will just laugh at him while he's laying on the ground

How so? I still think they got that one totally wrong. Yes it was intentional. But that does not make it flagrant. Isn't the definition of flagrant excessive or violent force that could cause injury? That was neither. I see screens in every game where guys do much worse and nothing gets called. Knees and hips extended in a much more malicious way. I think Allen is a punk as well but that call was made on reputation.
