Tai Wynyard Likely Out For Rest of the Season (UPDATE: Wynyard Also Suspended)

Because of of a disc problem Tai Wynyard is likely out for the rest of the season. While he isn't a big contributor he could take up some fouls inside and give the Cats a little toughness. Also Cal, stated Baker isn't likely to play this year too. Which was expected.

Will be interesting to see what happens with him. He could now transfer anywhere and play immediately next season.

I am just not sure how he fits into this program.

I honestly think Cal brought him in to try to toughen up Skal that one season. Plus he was probably just good enough to take a chance on.

He could be the rare six-year player if the NCAA grants him a medical redshirt for this year.

I hope he sticks with it and stays at UK. In two years you could have a 24-year-old big guy on the roster. You never know what could happen in a situation like that.

Age wise he would be like the BYU guys or like Perry Ellis was at Kanas although I think Ellis was closer to 34 lol

Oddly one of the few players Cal has had at UK who's had to serve a suspension.

The only other one I can think of is Darnell Dodson. Also seems like Terrence Jones may've sat a game or so after that weird car accident he had with Stacey Poole.

I think there have been others that have been hidden as an injury or illness. Cal knows what a firestorm a suspension can bring from the fan base. No way to ever know but I have suspected some injuries or illness have really been minor suspensions.
