Is there really a back issue or is he just ticked off he's sitting on the bench watching garbage non inspired play in the post by our other bigs?
Coming into the season all the ra ra about PJ Washington being this and that was flat out garbage, he's not that good and i am trying to figure out his role will ever be. He's not big enough to play the post, he gets his shot swatted to the 25TH row 9 times out of 10 when he touches the ball in the paint. He's not a shooter, he's not a wing, what does he really do that warrants his playing time???
Richards?? Looks good, smells good, taste like ***
Washington just reminds me of a typical freshman. Obviously well behind all of the freakazoids we've had but has shown some solid play that he can build on if he sticks with it. Has had a couple of really big games but unfortunately he's closer to "normal" as far as freshmen go.
Not sure about Richards. Outside his nice shooting touch it's really hard to see his potential. Even with guys like Cauley-Stein you could see something there. I see very little with Richards but I'm willing to chalk that up to the fact that he just hasn't played much organized basketball.

I do think that Richards can be a good shooter....

The only way i can see PJ being effective moving foward is for him to learn how to play on the wing especially if he's going to play pro ball..
One telling thing about Richards is how poor of a defensive player he is.
He's blocked 28 shots on the year. That's on pace for a little less than 36.
For some context on that, Willie Cauley-Stein blocked sixty as a freshmen.
A guy that big and that long should be significantly better at turning away shots. The fact that he's not is indicative of how far he has to go before he's able to catch up to the speed of the game.
And of course this isn't touching the most glaring issue he has, that being his hands.
Just a player who's extremely raw in a way that we really haven't seen a whole lot of since the Woo/Shagari days.

If Richards leaves and goes pro after this year, i throw in the towel, aint no more ryhme or reason when a kid jumps to the NBA. Cal can still have the number one recruiting class next year if he re recruits players like Diallo, Richards, Vanderbilt, etc. The only player that could should probably go is Knox but what if Knox just decides he actually wants to come back, that would be icing on the cake....

Any idea how many minutes WCS played his freshman year? One thing I see in Richards is he can shoot from 15'. He seems hesitant to take that shot, but he has taken a few. And he has to be near to top in FT shooting.
UK parties in the past decade have been frequented by such luminaries as John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis, and Karl Anthony Towns.
But Tai Wynyard needs an armed bodyguard? Absurd, and almost guarantees that we won't be seeing him again. Why does he need an armed bodyguard anyway? Isn't he a lumberjack or something?
Hello All! You may see some things bouncing around, colors changing, and functionality being added and removed as we look at how to make some requested...
With the recent discussion of rules and what is and is not posted I set out to find what our mission statement originally was and this is what I found:...
