One dirty secret about Archie Goodwin is that in the last five to seven games of the season he was pretty good. Was basically the only player we could count on to go out there and battle.

He's never been more than a blip on the NBA radar and if Hami can't figure out how to shoot the ball consistently he probably won't be either. Hami is more explosive and a little stronger, but you'll get exposed in the NBA if all you can do is run and jump. I hope that's not happening to Hami now at this level.

I hope I’m wrong but I’m still not convinced that we will see him play.

I am convinced he is playing now. Just a matter of when.

I pray that you’re right. Without him we are really going to struggle and may struggle with him. Who knows??

There'd be no reason for them to bring him along like this if they didn't plan to play him. This is different than Hami; in this case you've got the coach saying that we need him and that he's almost ready.

Barring a setback he's going to play. Think we'll see him Saturday in fact.

I hope so but I'm not sure. Cal said he would like him to come back for a home game. Although to me that may be more pressure on him than having him debut on the road.

Hami showed up mid year and never intended to play. As Will said, Cal wouldn't mention him if he didn't intend for him to play.

Would be huge if Vanderbilt came back. With Richards improving very little all the inside is falling to Washington. Vanderbilt would take some of that load off.

Agreed. The only way this team is gonna make any noise in March is if a healthy and productive Jared Vanderbilt is in the lineup. Kevin Knox needs to snap out of his funk also, but it's essential that JV gets going.

Believe it or not, somehow Archie managed to hang around in the league a few years. I actually think that Hami will make it and his jumpshot will improve. He's a not a great shooter at this point but his form isn't all that bad compared to others, i just think he really needs to work on it and he can be a Victor Olidipo style of player at the next level....

Hami does a good job if he doesn't hunt his shot and play selfishly.

The problem is that this team has so few NBA-ready players that Hami at times almost has to play a little selfishly.

He took a couple of bad shots last night that went in. It's a tough balance for him but when he's going right he's a game-changer and a guy who looks to me like he could not only be a decent pro, but one that could be a contributor on the level of somebody like Jamal Murray by his second or third year.

It's almost always better to play rookies on the road first if possible. When I coaches the Bourbons, I never played rookies at home first.

Cal says he is ready physically but not mentally. With the next home game against Florida and Gameday you know it's going to be crazy. Probably not the best time to make your debut. Hoping he gets some minutes against Vandy and/or USC before being thrown into that.

After listening to Pratt on the radio, I'm convinced JV will play this year and this year only.
