Drew Franklin also said something that I think you have to consider: are Kansas' guards not as good as we thought, or did we luck into a situation when all three of them had off nights?

Why do you say that? We all watched the same game and, based on everything I've seen here, all seem to be pleasantly surprised by the outcome.
I do have to disagree with your last statement. Though not without flaws, Fox's team became a bonafide title contender by tournament time. Still not sure I see that with this group.Comment

I would say Graham definitely had an off night. Vick is average at best. And Newman who knows? He has been hard to figure from day one. So much hype about him but he has yet to live up to it.Comment

I don't believe you can assess a team's ceiling until that team is complete. We've no idea what Jarred Vanderbilt is going to actually do to the makeup of this team. Prognostication is such a useless thing in November. Duke was supposed to be the national champion last year and went out in the second round.
That said if this team doesn't improve its shooting it will be fortunate to make it to the sweet 16.Comment

Not sure about Newman, but I think the others will be all-conference players by the end of the year. No Frank Mason but that's a pretty good stable of guards.
I thought our guys did a pretty good job against them. They settled for some bad shots but we also pushed them into some bad shots.Comment
