Not sure I've seen them play better defense all year. I believe that's why Cal has gone to the grind game. He's convinced that they can't score against us unless it's a bad shot and they can somehow run.

I see the same 2 problems today as always, defensive rebounding and FT shooting. Yet I look at the scoreboard and am pleased.

USC is now shooting 23%.

Totally agree with you. However, USC is a bad team, Cal starts the offensive grind thing WAY too early, and this is the type of performance that gets you bounced early in the tourney, especially if a team gets hot.

USC has three baskets total in the second half...this should be a 30 point game.

Dumb mentality, IMO. They hit a couple of threes and they are right back in it. 3 baskets total for USC this half and it's just a 14 point game. That's nuts

UK now MINUS 12 rebounding today against USC whose tallest player is 6'9.

Carrera (a mediocre player) has more rebounds than WCS, Towns, Lyles, and Lee COMBINED

I agree...road wins are tough. But, USC is a bad team.

Also liked the way Ulis played, liked Dakari today, and I thought Marcus Lee was great. Aaron took a few questionable shots but I liked him quite a bit.

As bad as the eye test was today, as bad as some of the stats are we still won by 16 points. This team has so many weapons to throw at another team they can win this type of game. Run and gun game or a grind it out game. How do you prepare for a team like KY.

The only team that beats KY is KY.
