Agreed - but some are saying if they were recruits who participated than they wouldn't be ineligible since they weren't players...I don't know. Just seems like they are allowing a loophole for UL to skate on this.

The five-game suspension (and reasoning that KC mentioned above) should tell you all you need to know about the NCAA's intentions. The goal is to make this thing hurt real, real bad, and the suspension would've been much longer if the full punishment didn't include more severe consequences.

Not sure why the NCAA would allow/force Louisville to self-report. If they know who the players were, then why not go ahead and make a ruling on the banner(s).

The NCAA stripped Memphis's runner-up banner. The specific language is on page 18.

I don't get it, either. It's like they're giving UofL one last chance to show the world that they can tell the truth about something.
