I'd agree, except for a couple things: no real history or rivalry between the teams, and I doubt the stakes will be as high as they were at Indiana.

I don't think there is much animosity shared between UK and WVU. During my time working I frequently asked avid Mountaineers fans about The Cats and most seemed to admire us provided we weren't playing each other.

Also helps that Cal and Huggy Bear are friends. Heck, I actually nearly like WVU. If we can't win it, they're as close as it gets to being a team that I would like to see win.

I don't know...it's always a rowdy place to play and after the 2015 team dismantled and embarrassed them. I think quite a few WVU fans would love to pay UK back in a big way!

If we walk in there highly ranked and looking like we deserve that status, sure. I guess my hesitation has more to do with my doubts about next year's specific roster than a general relationship between the two teams.

At that point in the season, I think there's a good chance we could look fairly average when we get to WVU, and even teams with an axe to grind - especially good teams, which WVU ought to be - can only take so much pleasure in thumping an average team.
