Kentucky to Play Virginia Tech December 16 (UPDATE: Cats Will Travel to West Virginia in Jan.)

Per multiple tweets Kentucky will play Virginia Tech in Rupp Arena December 16th. This is a one year deal. The last time these two played was in the 1996 NCAA tournament which UK won handily.

Here's a link. Every Saturday in December has a game now except Dec 30th. Good chance the UL game will be on that date.

Kentucky will play at West Virginia on January 27 as part of the SEC/Big XII Challenge.

First time UK has played in Morgantown since 1970. Most likely be a prime time game on ESPN.

Here's the boxscore of that last time UK played at WVU. UK won 106-100. Some big games by Payne,Casey and Parker in that one. In that season, 1970-71, UK scored over 100 points 15 times.

I think we can mark that one down as a likely L Just too young for that environment, even in January. Also, I think, WVU is supposed to be very good again.

They got their best player back yesterday. Jevon Carter had put his name in but will be back. Also returned their second leading scorer.

Lost their third, fourth, and fifth guys. Nathan Adrian was a major part of the press and he'll be gone.

Interesting. Big Tom Payne had 19 points and 19 rebounds. I bet he heard a few names from the crowd. Also, George Conley was one of the officials, and I think he was Larry's Dad.
