Interesting how people see and compare things differently. I see two teams I feel are above the rest and neither of those are the ones others are seeing.
I do feel like"what they did for UK" means something different to me than it does most.

I totally agree. Besides, it's a game of matchups and i see a few other teams much better than that. With Fox and Chapman you get offense but if you make them work on defense, it's a problem. Isn't it odd that under Gillispie, both Bradley and Meeks became great scorers??
Totally agree. Lighthouse's team would not be beaten IMO.
FriendsofCoal definitely second but quite a bit behind Lighthouse. All the rest of us hovering in a clump not far behind that.
Good big men would beat LH's team. Muhammed is good but would have some problems with the best of them. Leron Ellis was probably the softest player I have ever seen at UK. I was shocked he was even picked.
FOC's team would have problems at point guard. IMO Ford just wasn't that good. Great shooter but his size caused him a lot of problems.

Agreed on both counts.
And why are we hyping up other people's teams? Let's save the sales pitches for ourselves.
It's not really odd when you consider the talent that was mostly around those guys.
If there are only two legit high D1 players on a team and you're one of them, you're going to put up points. No choice.
Just goes to show, many players can be great scorers if they are getting the greenlight. Nothing against Meeks or Bradley but those numbers would have never happened under Tubby, Rick, or Calipari..............
Let's take the day to entertain trade possibilities, if anyone's interested. In the meantime, you can think about your pitch for your team, and which coach you'd like to choose.
Don't post that stuff here. We'll start a separate thread for team pitches and coaching choices. For now, offer trades if you're gonna, and try to get those finalized sometime today.
I don't recall how this stage of the game was set up last year, other than the general stuff posted above.
And I tinkered around with polls. Looks like we can start a thread with a poll, but I don't think we can add polls throughout threads. So, unless we want to start a new thread for every potential matchup (which I doubt anyone wants to do) we might need to find a voting alternative.
