I don't know if they ever worked together, but if Burl Crowell, John Clougherty and Don Rutledge were on the game, both coaches would sit and coach. there would have been no questions to the officials.

This is lining up good for me going into my last two picks. I made a list of about 20 players after my last pick. I figured most of them would be gone by now. But so far not too many of them.

Are we picking 7? If so, why not 8? Pickings are getting slim but with a extra 8th pick, great role players such as C. Mills, D. Hawkins, and a few others might be able to make a team. Besides, 8 man rotations are kind of the standard off the bench with a two way pg/sg, sg/sf/pf, pf/c.....

          I believe it is six.

No, it's seven, with a minimum six-man roster in case people want to trade two-for-one (in which case the owner receiving two players would have to drop a player at the end of the draft to stay under the roster cap).

OK I mis-read then. Seven it is.

Kevin just took one of my possibilities at SF. I called a game Hanson played in while he was in HS. At that time, he was the quickest big guy I had ever seen. He made the defensive standout from PRP look like he had lead in his shoes. Good Pick.

Hanson actually lived in my hometown as a kid and was slated to play at McCreary Central High School, my alma mater. He was there with his father, who had taken a job at the local Job Corps.

The rumor has always been that racial trouble drove Hanson out of town to nearby Pulaski County, where he won a state title in 1986.

My cousin Brandon Cross actually broke Hanson's all-time scoring record at Pulaski County High a few years back.

Hanson was really, really good after Pitino got him. He could go outside or inside. He was basically the center on Pitino's first two teams. He went toe to toe with guys a lot bigger than him. He always used his quickness to his advantage. I think the reason people forget about him now is that he never got the chance to play and shine in the NCAA's. They did have a Reggie Hanson Sacrifice Award. I don't know if they still give that out but they should. He could have transferred anywhere after his sophmore year without sitting out but chose to stay. Without Hanson those first two seasons under Pitino would have been much different. That helped to pave the way for the rest of the 90's.

Is everyone ok with seven rounds? We can go eight if there's enough interest.

My cousin graduated in 86 and was all 8th region for 3 years playing in all start games against Chapman, Hanson, Feltcon Spencer, and a few other notables during that era. My cousin swears up and down Hanson was better than them all in his opinion.

Doesn't matter to me. It would make it an even around back. I think we had 8 rounds last year. Picks get slim but that very subjective. What we consider an 8th round pick would be the best player for many schools.

Not to take anything away from your cousins but how many 3 pointers did he shoot in his career? My 6'5 cousin was one of the best players in the state from 84-86 and would shoot from the hash mark on a consistent basis , kill teams from the outside averaging 20 to 25 a game through those years. Problem is, those 2's he used to shoot are now 3's, Kentucky high school went to the 3 point shot in 87. I can only imagine how many points players like Mike Casey and other great shooter prior to 87 would have averaged before the 3 point line was installed..

Eight rounds it is then. Also, I might be in trouble. Two of the three SFs I had in mind are gone and I've got a while before I pick.
