And sure you can pick out single games from Towns' time here and show that he struggled. But that goes for virtually everybody who ever played, particularly when they were 18-19 years old.

But I'm not sure Zach Auguste is a great example. Towns put up 25 in that game and was virtually unstoppable offensively.
Towns scored like 16 against team Usa and Lebron as a minor, we knew already he was destined to be great but from a Kentucky stand point, Randolph Morris, M. Estill, J. Maglore, and Nazr Mohammed, they did much more for Kentucky than Towns. ..

      Nazr probably. The others no.

But you still seem to be misunderstanding the game. How much a player did for Kentucky isn't the entire point of a game like this, because if you take a team of guys who had huge winning careers that doesn't necessarily mean anybody is going to buy the fact that those guys are better than some of these superstars.

There are some studs Kentucky has had that for one reason or another haven't won a lot. But people saw them play and paid attention to them, thus you're going to get a consensus of "Yeah, that guy is definitely better" than some of these others guys who won a ton.

I mean a chimp on speed could tell you Karl Towns is better in every conceivable way than Randolph Morris or Marquis Estill. Come on.

I'll leave it alone but its clear to me its about what they did at Kentucky and how they are now doing outside of Kentucky whether you admit it or not..

How many Ncca tournament wins for Wayne Turner and Kentucky in comparison to John Wall, Nazr over Towns, and so on....

I say look at the entire big picture Kentucky and pro and pick the best teams and vote........

Anyways, good points from all and it will be interesting. .

I don't care how we do it, though the rules say based on their time here. I am just gonna use a mix of stats and eye test. Shouldn't be too hard.

Like I said, I'm a young fan considering the dynasty that is KY Basketball.Almost half my players I drafted last year, I couldn't give you any kind of comparison on because I was barely alive lol.

Funny you mention Turner and Nazr. I had both of them last year and won it.

I went back to look too and couldn't find them. Apparently posts and threads past a certain period time get archived.

I picked first I'm pretty sure and still had a pretty uneven team.

The interesting part of a game like this to me anyway isn't winning but assembling the most interesting team possible.

If you've ever played fantasy football, you'll know that the first pick isn't always the best. Those long waits between picks 1-2, 3-4, etc. can destroy a roster before your players ever see the field.

So what you are saying is that established players from the past with better career stats and accolades carry more weight than the one and done NBA players that played here for like 6 months? If this is the case, players like Delk have or Mashburn have to be worth alot more in value if we are putting a salary cap in place, am i right??

Sometimes it's difficult to understand what J.Jennings is actually trying to say in any given thread.

Am I nuts or did he just completely go back on points made just a few posts up?

He did. Yesterday, drafting Cal's players was a losing strategy.
