I can't believe the way the draft is going. Solid picks around, but our program is more than this. It's fixin' to get down to business right shortly.Isaiah 5:20Comment

Lavender got a little bit of fire and attitude on his team,, Walker was a beast on the college level. Once he went pro, he transformed into a 3 point shooting big man. What many don't realize is that A. Walker was actually noted as a pioneer for the modern game of basketball as we see it today, big men stretching the floor and shooting the 3. Larry Bird and others did it back in the day but A. Walker helped start a new trend of athletic bigs that started emphasizing shooting over post play. With the NBA rules changes after Rick left Boston and went back to college and with players like Walker, it completely changed the game, true big men are a dying breed now.....................Originally posted by John Stuart MillHe who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that... Just wanted to say thanks for having this draft. It makes you want to go back and look up some of the greats that have played here. I can only go back to that '78 team as far as remembering when I became a fan. There has been some hard times and some great times being a fan of our Wildcats, but we never lose hope and we hang on to every game as if it's the last. I get all the feels when I go back and watch some highlights or even full games from years past. There is just something about being a fan of our boys. Roots are deep here. I am sure all the top programs have all their memories that we will never get, but I challenge anyone to go back and watch Mr. Wildcat's memorial service. Or watch Happy Chandler sing My Old Kentucky Home during the '88 Senior Day and come away from that saying "It's just like any other program". It isn't. I am proud to be a Kentucky basketball fan and I will be one till the Good Lord takes me home.Isaiah 5:20Comment

This is why we were looking forward to this years draft. Memories are great, but looking back through rosters brings it all forward again. Like, Goose putting 41 on the dookies simply by going to the middle and hitting shot after shot, and realizing there was nothing they could do about. And followed by Lees's Powerful signature dunk at the buzzer. I could go on and on, but I have to get ready for Church.
It just goes on and on...👍 1Comment

Or T. Prince coming out the gate with 5 3' against Louisville, K. Azubuike tearing down the rim out of nowhere on the road in Nashville, Brandon Knight and A. Harrison with the game winners, Rex Chapman going wild against he University of Louisville, Meeks with 54, Monk setting a freshman record, the 98 Ncaa championship team during that run...
It just goes on and on...
