I guess this is as good a place as any to mention it:

I am out of town this holiday weekend and will be on Lake Cumberland. I don't check Wildcatnation at all when I'm down there. Because of the holiday I won't be back in until late Monday and may not even glance at the site until Tuesday morning.

Feel free to skip me if you need to but make sure Dicky Beal is still available when I come back. He's who I'm taking with my second pick.

If, after seeing who's been picked before you leave, you want to go to the trouble of listing a handful of players you'd like from most to least preferred, you can send that list to me or TC15 and we'll pick your top available preference for you, if you'd like.

You know, I kinda hated picking Sky at #7 because teams are built around PG's. The best PG in UK history hadn't been picked yet but I just couldn't pass up Kenny Walker. He was the first UK player I truly fell in love with and his career backed up my man crush. It's just too danged bad that that punk Chris Mullin had to dang near gouge his eye out for St. John's to beat our Cats as I felt we were the team to beat that year. We had already gotten by Detlef Schremff and the Washington Huskies, who many had as a dark horse that year. I HATED St. John's after that. I couldn't stand Mullins or POY Walter Berry after that game.

Had to go with Cousins, felt like he just fell in my lap. I know the NBA doesn't carry much weight here but i notice a few other one or two and dones taken early in the draft, so why not, it's a wash on paper. Had Cousins stayed 4 years, could have broke all the records and been right up there with Davis and Towns. In fact, Cousins is as gifted as all, just depends on what you are looking for in a Center.......

At the end of the day, just simplify the whole process by asking yourself this question: would your players, as they were in their time at UK, be the best players on the floor?

Cousins is a good choice. Maybe the most skilled player to ever play at Kentucky.

My issue with Cousins is that he loafed. Also was mired in almost constant foul trouble. His numbers were incredible but not nearly what he could have done had he been more focused and more willing to work.

He could be a very lazy player. Then he would turn it on and have these spurts where he would just be the best player on the court and nobody would be close.

I took Cousins last year by mistake and it turned out to be a good choice. I was hoping to get him again, but Crazzed beat me to him. Good Choice JJ. Now to decide which Big to take.

The two picks ahead of me basically fried my strategy of the draft. I wanted to pick a good big man for my first pick. The last two that deserved a fist round pick got snapped up. The foils of being near the bottom of the draft. Had to go with plan B.

LH is probably weighing which referee from the past to take with is first pick. John Clougherty or Berle Crowle?

Crazzed? Don't get me excited. I would trade Jworld for Crazzed in a heartbeat.

I think I might make the sacrifice and take Wilgus Tolson with my last pick.

Sorry about that mix up. I was thinking about my pick I guess. And Kevin, his name is Burl Crowel.
