I think I agree with Jworld. I don't think there's any way Devin Booker goes top 5 at SG in this draft, based on the rules. But because of what he did in the NBA he would go at least that high. At Kentucky, he didn't look like a top 5 SG, over the history of the program. I think the NBA needs to have some influence. If not, you are almost disregarding an entire era.Comment

Just a reminder to anyone reading this thread who hasn't officially joined the Fantasy Draft: we're all breaking TC15's rule by having current discussions in this thread. If you want to join the Draft and haven't already done so, please jump in and say "I'm in."
Rules are meant to be broken lolComment

Originally posted by J.JenningsWith all due respect, thank you. Im not trying to be a A hole but how can i pick A. Epps over any of Cal's guards when Epps UK career and contributions was way up there, same with Turner,Macy, and a few others...
"Contributions" are one thing. Those are highly subjective mainly because this is a team sport.
How good a player is is the metric this thing should be based on. Dan Issell never went to a Final Four. Ditto Tayshaun Prince. Turner was in multiple.
Sometimes players are on teams that drag them forward. They might be good individually, but the collective is better.
Other guys' teams fell short, but this is a contest based on individual worth.
And on the poster's point about Karl Towns: if you couldn't tell that Towns was going to be a superstar then I'm not sure what you were watching.
This opens up a conversation that I've felt for a long time: Kentucky fans are way, way too critical of these players. You would've thought Malik Monk and De'Aaron Fox were garbage for most of the year if you read the message boards. Those guys will be all-stars.Comment

Towns was the same sort of unknown as Diallo? Hami Diallo has never played a second of college basketball. Towns was an anchor on probably the second best Kentucky team of the last 50 years.
And sure you can pick out single games from Towns' time here and show that he struggled. But that goes for virtually everybody who ever played, particularly when they were 18-19 years old.
But I'm not sure Zach Auguste is a great example. Towns put up 25 in that game and was virtually unstoppable offensively.Comment

If i draft a Super star it will be Nba doesn't matter what did he do at Kentucky? If i draft a solid player from Kentucky with great career stats and many wins over the course of his career for KENTUCKY but hes not on the same level as a Nba star, then what ??
Im drafting stats and wins for Kentucky
