People can criticize Cal all they want for the one and done thing, but after what happened to Wagner, you can understand why Cal never tries to hold a kid back, and he shouldn't. I just wanted to reach through the TV and choke Calhoun when he made his comments about kids should stay longer in college. IT'S THE NBA's RULE!!!!!!!!!!! And you are just a selfish old cook who would rather win a few more games and have a kid get a career ending injury then to see one leave after one year.

I find it hard to believe that there is any other coach that cares more for his players interest than Cal.

Also loved the part when the players said Cal would come to their house, no matter how bad the neighborhood, when other coaches wanted to meet them somewhere.

I do think Calhoun has a point though. I tend to think sometimes Cal talks about money as if it's this savior. Sometimes it is...but we know from all these documentaries about athletes that sometimes making tons of money is a negative for these guys.

Calhoun is an a-hole, sure, and has no ground to stand on when it comes to talking about shenanigans. But his point about "the good of the game"...well, I wish Cal bought into that a little more.

But it's clear he isn't going to do that.

Having said that, the "They're just playing for their NBA stock and don't care about UK' is the worst thing UK fans say.

And they trot it out every year the second we lose in the NCAA Tournament.

Hey, HEY! No spoilers. I've recorded it but haven't watched.

I had no idea who Cal was or that he was even a coach at all prior to UK........
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

My point is that just because these kids are here one year doesn't mean they don't care. Compare Fox and Bam crying after they lost to Lonzo Ball who didn't even seem upset after the Kentucky loss and made it a point in his post-game interview to say he was going pro, now that is no respect for your university.

Of course the game would be better if all these guys stayed 3 or 4 years but we can all argue till we're blue in the face about it and the only ones who think it's better for the game are the fans and the universities who makes millions off of them winning. If anyone thinks that last season was not a fantastic season of watching basketball games they are nuts, and the one and dones didn't hurt it at all.

The only part that I can't grasp when someone like Briscoe leaves for the NBA when he is barely rated as a top 100 prospect....those cases I will never understand because it isn't a good financial move for their future. Makes no sense to hire an agent with the new rules in place so if you find out there is no way you are getting drafted then you can come back to school.

I really enjoyed the doc. Watching it I felt a little T.O. (about his QB Romo)...that's my coach!

Finally watched all of this. It's not the best 30 for 30 I've seen but it's a good one and worthwhile for any UK fan to watch. No doubt what happened to DeJaun Wagner influenced Cal on how to treat these five star players. I had totally forgotten what happened to Wagner and shows you had better grab the money when you can. As you can tell the rift Cal had with coaches like Chaney and Calhoun was because Cal came in and stole their thunder and recruits. Cal was just a step or more ahead them and they knew it. You really got the feeling too that Cal will be at UK until he retires. I think he knows this is the place for him and revels in every moment. You never know what might happen but I think he is here to stay.
