I thought it was good, BUT, no reason for it to have taken so long to get to the part of the one and done. It's was basically a biography of Cal, including the Camby issue, for the first hour. Then, when it got to the key moment of what made the man completely change his commitment to the player career length, it was only a few minutes, and then it was more scandal with memphis, and then the finally of ending at Kentucky. And.... there's the "One" championship that's meant to play with the "one" that represents the players length of career, and then... The end.

Great biography. But, might just as well have been titled "John Calipari: Love him or hate him"

Just didn't seem to me that title fit the content. It demonstrated, but didn't emphasize. his change in philosophy due to Wagner. It didn't really emphasize on his drive to get his "One" title, and pursuit of more. Didn't really emphasize his philosophy regarding "one" year career of great players. Just really seemed to be what I said "John Calipari: Love him or hate him."

It was good. Even an Indiana fan I watched it with agreed.

^ Took them that long because the one-and-done thing was only part of the second half of his career. He'd been coaching for seventeen years before "one-and-done" even entered the lexicon.

Oh, I understand that. But, even still, it seemed like the content was more about the "polarization" of Cal's career (The clashes, the commentary from coaches who either loved him or hated him), and then just ended with the content that could be alluded to the title.

MAKE NO MISTAKE, I liked it. I'm like you, some of that stuff was new to me, and it deepened my respect for him.

Like I said, good, but the title just didn't match the content. Kinda like renaming the "The Godfather" with the title "One in the head," referencing the death of Sollozzo. Still would have been the incredible movie it was. Still would have involved the death of the character by "one in the head", but the title wouldn't really fit the start to finish content and intent of the script.

There's a bunch about UK. Talks about how UK was his dream job, there's a long scene of him standing in Rupp and talking about the history, multiple scenes from UK games, a bunch of footage from practice with the national championship team. There's a really good quote where somebody, I think it's Wall, talks about how Cal's eyes lit up when he got to put on the UK clothes.

Personally I was more interested in the other stuff simply because there are things in there that I didn't know about. An entire 30 for 30 could be made about the dripping contempt Jim Calhoun has for Calipari. Every time Calhoun comes on screen you can just feel the disgust emanating off him.

World Wide Wes was even brought up so it was a little of this and a little of that.

Duh he hasn't been coach at UK his entire career either. He has coached at another place or two. This wasn't a pep rally for UK basketball.

Calhouns whining about all things Cal over the years is getting old. He's playing within the rules Jim. I think a lot of coaches are butt hurt that they can'tget the quality of talent that Cal brings here. On the flip side, Titles are won with talented upperclassmen. Our 2012 squad had a once in a generation talent in Davis. It's hard to win it without talented experience. Having said that, Cal should have had two more Titles here. It's very hard to win it all. A lot of factors involved with the chief one being just plain old luck. Self, and K have been bringing in one and dones recently and they get zero flack for it.

I didn't think the tweets were that critical. Calhoun is an ego maniacal dirtbag. Glad he is out of basketball forever.

I agree with them. It was a recruiting bonanza. But I'm OK with it. Krackywacky has all those credit card commercials and the Olympics are a constant recruiting edge for krackywacky.

The whiners just need to learn to deal with it.
