While I know that Cal's system is the very reason why we get such great players, I look to '11-'12, '14-'15, and even this year to an extent, and see how good we are when we have those elite players with the sprinkling of returnees.

I don't for one second think Cal should alter his recruiting methods, but I do think one-on-one conversations with the Teagues, Johnsons, Goodwins, etc. could be handled a little differently.
I understand completely hat you are saying. And I've had that conversation with many people that see it just the way you do. I disagree. I mean, I disagree with your take on what you think Cal tells them. Cal told Liggins to come back.Liggins disagreed. I believe Cal is completely honest with the players. There's been some nonsense for years about Cal making Cuz leave when Cuz didn't want to go.

Just crazy stuff like that. Does anyone believe that Cal didn't want Teague back? Or Lamb. Or Dakari?

It's hard for Cal to tell them anything when they know the system.

That's why they come to Kentucky. For Cal to sit down and instruct them to stay when they've signed up to play here based on the idea that they're going to be a one-and-done is difficult for Cal.

It would be like giving somebody a job with the promise they're going to rise to management after one year, and then they get to the end of that first year and everybody they came in with is in management but they're stuck in production.

Once you set up the system the way he has you almost have to let it run and let the chips fall.
