Wichita St. vs. Kentucky: Game Thread

Wichita St. is the new Utah.

I thought the same thing when the game was over. Utah had to just despise Kentucky in the 90's They knocked them out for the tournament nearly every year. Now Wichita takes the Utah role.

This game today was similar to the other one in 2014 in that Wichita just kept coming at them. Shamet was just stone cold killer from the outside. I'm glad Bam got that last shot. Who knows that may have went in the way Shamet was going. In the end Wichita just couldn't handle Fox and his quickness. Also Bam showed his toughness and grit. He seemingly got the rebound every time UK really needed one. The three by Monk was huge too. Wouldn't have won without that. All of those close games in the SEC are paying off now. We may not like them when they are happening but usually Cal's teams respond in a big way down the stretch when they win those close games in the regular season. On to Memphis. That could be a killer region with UK,UCLA and UNC all there. It will be fun to see all that if it comes about. We will tee it Friday night and see what happens.

Hang in there Jennings. I'll be hoping for the best for you. Sounded like they got it at the right time. These cardioligist and folks in that type of medicine can do wonders now.

I just finished watching. I had the game DVRd because I had to do a bday party. What a game! THe cats toughed it out and did what they needed to win. Whew!
