Gregg Doyel: Proof that IU-Crean marriage isn't working

Indiana turned down an NIT home game vs. Georgia Tech because of fan apathy, suggesting Tom Crean's tenure needs to end.

The guy hasn't done a thing outside of Dwayne Wade. Nothing before or after him. Why IU has stuck with him this long is baffling to me. That program has just about fallen off the map. What has happened to IU?

Since we no longer play them, I don't care who their coach is.

Wow. Doyel ought to open a detective agency and call it Obvious, P.I. ...............................
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

I love seeing IU as a has-been program, so I hope they never get rid of Tom Arnold.

That said, Crean has been there 8 years and by this point, they are who they are. I don't see another year making the difference.

Somebody had a listing yesterday of the state of Indiana's top 10 high school players yesterday. Not one had committed to Indiana, and that's a state just full of basketball talent.

That is unbelievable. If Kentucky produced as much talent annually as the state of Indiana, we'd hardly ever need to go outside to recruit.

The prevailing thought is that we might renew the series if they hire a different coach. And it's just fun to laugh at them, given their superiority complex.

I thought rowdy fans are the reason we're no longer playing them?

I thought Cal and clappy were friends? Is that not correct?

For a man that doesn't care about the topic that's quite an imaginative leap.

We don't play them because Crean won't agree to play on a neutral site. Cal refuses to go back to their arena.
