Briscoe now #85 on the draft boards, I know I have had a love/hate relationship as a fan with him but I would really hate to see him leave undrafted just for the fact of leaving.

I can't come up with any scenario in which he stays, but the big question is still "Where's he going to go?"

Despite his flaws, I'd love to have him back. It'd be great to have a junior at guard in a year where we'll be thin at the position and maybe the youngest we've ever been across the board.

UK is going to need some experience for next year. That's going to be an awfully young team if everyone leaves that we expect to leave. Briscoe would really help out but I truly doubt he returns.

Bam has played his way into a top 15 player over the past month, not sure I have seen a transformation like this in as little as 3 to 4 weeks. I also expect both Fox and Monk to go top ten, you can't afford to pass on either one of these guys if they happen to live up to the expectations at the next level.

I hope Briscoe leaves, I would rather have a shooter take his place and not have Cal have inner team turmoil having to choose a freshman over him or vice versa.

Problem is I'm not sure if we have a shooter coming in.

If we add Knox we'll have one, but I think that may be a longshot. Best-case scenario might be Cal picking up a grad transfer somewhere who can shoot from outside. I tend to think that will happen regardless because we're going to be so ungodly young.

In Cal I trust, hasn't let me down yet.

I'm gonna go ahead and say I disagree with Cal's figurin'. Seven is more likely (because I still can't imagine Briscoe coming back). The only way I can see eight guys leaving is if SKJ transfers. Otherwise, I see no way he or Gabriel leave, and I trust that Diallo won't test the waters.
This tidbit slipped through the cracks of all of the Selection Sunday madness, but after John Calipari was done calling Jay Bilas a Duke homer, he went on the

I wouldn't read much into that comment. Cal's constantly throwing out numbers about how many we might lose and how many he'll have to replace.

Good for recruiting. The message: There's going to be nobody left after this season. Join us.

Unless Diallo is flat out lying he sure sounds to me like he is excited to lead this team next season?

I have to think either Isaac, Wynyard, or SKJ leaves at the end of this year.

We're gonna have real back court issues next year, I worry. We have...Quade Green, Diallo, and...? We have that other PG signed, but he's not considered a 1st year contributor, is he?

And like Will said.....I think this is a message to Bamba and Knox reiterating that there's room for ya here boys!

The other guard is Shai Alexander. Not sure about him. I've seen varying things about his game: saw somebody recently say he was a one-and-done phenom, have seen others say he might not contribute.

P.J. Washington is going to play quite a bit on the wing unless we sign Knox. I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't our best player next year regardless of whom we sign from here on out.

Badly need Bamba at the very least because while I like Richards, I don't think he's going to be a guy who's able to just jump in and start from day one. We kind of take it for granted but that's very difficult for a young big man to do.
