We sort've looked like we were still finding our way on Tuesday night when we were down by 19 at home to Vanderbilt.

I like our team but let's not act like we're world beaters. Like Will said, we've had to fight for virtually everything for three months now. And we can't afford to have Fox turning the ball over six times in the tournament. Just can't.

The good news is that we've done it while winning, so we're going to get a solid seed. And we'll deserve that seed even though the eyeball test shows you a team that has to scrap at times.

The team they remind you a little of (hopefully) is Villanova last year. That team came in with 5 losses. They got a high seed but they weren't one of the teams people talked about as having a shot to win. They had the reputation of not being able to shoot. They had one guy who got really hot in the postseason.

Another similarity between this and last year is that you have no juggernauts standing out there. Almost all of them have had periods of the season where they've lost the thread a little.

I also think we've made real progress toward developing cohesion and identity as of late. Bam's suddenly putting it together, Monk's showing some (some) willingness to drive to the basket, and Hawkins finally seems to have found a manageable role.

Fox concerns the hell out of me, though. Kid's got to get it together, or we're toast. I'd also like to see Gabriel give us something. Willis isn't going to put together a string of six good games.

Yeah I watch them a little when mighty Butler kicked their midget all the way back to Philly. I get it that some of you are scared of your shadow.

I know we would beat Nova on a neutral court. I hope they are the 1 seed in our region.

And I'm talking a fully healthy Nova. Not because of any injuries. I would prefer to be in the region with Gonzaga as our number 1 except for having to go west.

One day UK fans will wake up and realize how good this team is. But even if you don't I will remind you.

You watched them a little without two starters. Did you watch a little of the games where we have gotten beat? Have you watched us at all the last month and a half? We are by no means the world beater you think. Can they get hot and win it all? Sure. But they've also shown they can come out and get down by 20 to a team who isn't making the tournament. If we get down by 19 points to a team in the Sweet 16 there probably won't be a comeback short of Monk going for 47 again. It has nothing to do with being afraid of your own shadow. It's about having a realistic opinion of how the teams are playing, the experience, and strengths.
