Best I've seen them play in a long time. The simple fact was that little soft zone on defense was a major key for them. Mulder and Hawkins playing more and Monk taking the ball to the basket was great. Bam with the energy was awesome. When Fox comes back - Cal has got to keep using Mulder and Hawkins. The offense just flows a little better.

Briscoe played better in the second half but slowly has turned into a guy I can't stand. The slap was uncalled for. Dirty as can be and always complaining. NO more saying he's a leader or good on ball defender because he is neither. Hope he leaves after this season honestly.

Overall - that's a good team in Florida and they really played great that 2nd half.

      Bam Bam's last two games:

      40 points, 30 rebounds.

      Decent.

Tried to tell y'all we would win this game.

And the SEC chickenshat officials had to get their double technical in.

Then they call a phantom 10 second call to make up for it.

        Worst officials in basketball.

Hawkins stuffing stats with 3 points, 6 boards and 4 assists
Willis with 5 points and 9 rebounds.

I hope the lack of turnovers in the second half was a sign of things to come.

If this team is efficient it can be a dominant offensive team. But you can't play this game and just give the ball to the other team at the rate we've been doing it.

Glad I was wrong. Didn't get to watch until the last couple minutes. Sat down at a bar after class, saw we were up, then Florida immediately scored. Averted my eyes for the rest of the game. You're all welcome.

Hawkins was in on so many things in that second half that it was unbelievable.

The point the poster makes about him not being able to play at this level is fantastically wrong. He gives you positive contributions more often than not.

Hawkins was second to Monk on Assists and Willis was second on rebounds to Bam. They played their roles as bench players today as well as they could. Not sure what more you could of wanted out of them.

The guy took 6 shots, 8 if you count his 2 free throws to get 3 points. And he had 3 fouls. he cannot play at this level. But he had to play today.

How about last game when the freshman Monk does a dumb move to drive with a few seconds to go. That's a freshman mistake. Then the senior Hawkins fouls a guy 30 feet from the basket. He is out of his league at this level.

                      Totally disagree.

As far as the shots he takes: he's a role player. You don't want him taking many shots. That's not his game.

And OMG...3 fouls. THREE FOULS? Hells bells let's revoke his scholly.

Had to record the game today and made it a case in point to keep all social media and radios off until i could get home to watch the game without having a clue as to what happened. Long story short, i fast fowarded to the end with 3 minutes to go, i already knew the game was over and would not get beat on this day.

We started off ugly and there was alot of bad calls in the first half including alot of bad turnovers on our part, this team could have folded very easily. Instead this team battled and fought all day and it finally hit me, i think we finally GOT OUR TEAM back today, i was convinced of this win or lose no matter what happened, proud we chose to fight and battle today.

As for the individuals, Bam finally turned the corner and everything has come full circle including his post play and post moves, freethrow shooting, rebounding, and his confidence more than anything. Was proud of Cal for actually checking Allen with Bam on point during a small stretch in a crucial point of that second half, Florida lost that game at point in my opinion.

Briscoe, still not sold on him and i will give Mulder a pass today, i though Michael pressed it a little and was the first time he really every played any significant minutes under the spotlight, I think this game will help him experience wise moving foward and if was Cal, i would keep Briscoe on short lease once Fox is healthy.

Willis, couple of bone head turnovers but the dunk ignited it all and the Cats never looked back.

Hawkins, a little disappointed in the first half with both he and the senior Willis with dumb turnovers but overall, Hawkins fought all day with the rest of the team.

Monk,,,, what can i say, man went on a mission the second half and just took over the game, big time performance and we would not have won that game without him.. Also to note, Monk didnt stand around on the 3 point line today, he moved and was active today, i think it made a big time difference in my opinion......

Happy today, fully and truly believed we finally got our team back today and i am very proud of the overall team effort from top to bottom. This team did not fold and it battled through everything and took the life out of Florida...

I had to record it but cut it off with 3 to go, this team wasn't losing today.... Proud of our kids today man, made me very happy to be a UK fan and that old feeling the way it used to be alive and kicking today......

It's fine for you to disagree. I completely disagree with your take on him. Lets see where he gets drafted to settle it.

Kentucky has had a ton of capable, valuable players in the history of its program who haven't been drafted.

Obviously nobody is trying to argue that Hawkins is an NBA player. That's not the point. He's a 3 or 4 point a game role player who does little things. Teams this young and raw need guys like that.

That's a little different argument than this; "Hawkins was in on so many things in that second half that it was unbelievable".
