You get the feeling that if Florida took a three every time they'd be cruising. It's when they want to drive into our defense that they've had trouble.

      You're being insanely negative.

Sure, we played poorly for a majority of the half, but I saw a bunch of guys who played with tremendous intensity. Some of the hardest play I've seen all year from any team, let alone our bunch.

If they come out with that sort of effort in the second half, I'll be pleased, win or lose.

        1. Honestly - I wished people would stop saying that about Mulder. His defense isn't that bad. It's no worse than the rest of them. I'm tired of hearing how Briscoe is the best on ball defender because he sucks. Fox doesn't play good defense. Monk doesn't play good defense and Willis terrible. Yeah Willis at times will play ok but for the most part, he's terrible defensively.

2.) I don't want to hear it on TV or anywhere else that Briscoe is the leader of this team. He's not. IF You want to know why the game is tied - it's because Briscoe is on the bench. Mulder and Hawkins are better for this team right now. They create ball movement. Briscoe, Fox, and Monk play too much 1 on 1 and it kills this team offensively. Yes - those 3 have to play for this team to make a deep run but Hawkins/Mulder have proven enough that they should be getting more minutes until those other 3 clean up their crap.

3.) Where has this Bam been? Hitting the O-boards hard and finally an ally-oop play.

This is quite impressive to be tied as poorly as we played. With Fox out and the terrible officiating. Briscoe is being Briscoe and Hawkins just can't play at this level. Yet we're tied?

Just make a few shots in the second half and win the game.

            ^ Agree about Mulder.

Still not sure about Briscoe. He is obviously all one on one but he gives you some tough baskets. I'm not really sure what to think about him because he fits in no frame of reference for me when you think about the history of Kentucky basketball. He's more like one of these old Big East players you'd see in the '80s. Such a weird player. I like his toughness but hate the ugliness of his game.

And I too love Bam...but the guy needs to get a lay-up to fall. Reminds you of his UCLA game. Playing super hard, not able to put in a two-footer.

I don't get why Mulder is in there to shoot. But then he passes up an open shot to drive. Play to your strength.

Briscoe is clearly a polarizing player.

If you really thought that was a good half of basketball by either team, then you don't watch enough. Both shot under 39%. Ky had 12 turnovers. What's good about any if that?

I never said they didn't pkay hard. Both did. Playing hard doesn't always make for good

If that opinion makes me INSANELY negative, well ok. It's actually fact.

Much better offensive energy to start this half. Monk hunting screens.

Briscoe's perfect defense gives up ,6 pt trip.

Sit Briscoe and keep him sitting.

We're into our second-half mentality of letting the other team score on every possession.

I think we stopped them the first time they had the ball. They've scored every trip since, including the brutal 5-point trip.

Not sure why we fade defensively when we come out of the locker room. But it's happened virtually all year.

Gabriel absolutely had to grab that rebound.

Florida looks much stronger. Which makes sense, because they have so many vets.

But I've noticed shocking differences in physicality both times they've played.
