First we had a good QB today. Second, for the most part, Gran called a good game. Third, our kids fought them every snap, and never gave up. I hope you have a DVR so you can watch it when your Mom is better.

She is settled in and I have a big bowl of popcorn with a Dr. Pepper waiting for me to watch the game on my DVR.

I talked to some of my family that are big UL fans. They would only talk about mom not the game. That was when I realized something big was happening. They never miss a minute to give me grief about UK.

Folks, I had to take a break for awhile because I was, and still am, very emotional. As I look back, I was there when we beat LSU, and have watched nearly every Kentucky football game for a long time, but this game today ranks right up there with my all time favorite win. Let me add, I've had great respect for Lamar Jackson, but when he scored his last TD and he made the Heisman stance, I lost some of that respect.

That didn't bother me, necessarily. He was the Heisman front-runner who made a Heisman-esque play. Not really bad sportsmanship, in my view.

This might not be the right time for this conversation, but... I disagree. He earned every bit of criticism he received early in the season. The people who can't admit that he's done a tremendous job since then are the ones who should apologize.

We can't overstate the benefit of the additional practice our guys will get thanks to their bowl bid. That extra time goes a long, long way in helping a team develop - especially a young team.
