    I'll go with:
    UK - 33
    Mizzou - 28

A Mizzou win would be a punch in the gut, and wouldn't be a shocking result. If Johnson plays a clean game with no TO's, UK could win by a comfortable margin.

An interesting matchup to see how UK does on the road against an equal opponent.

Mizzou fans on their board don't seem to care but assume they are going to kill us. The idea seems to be if we traded schedules we would trade records.

He called last week down to the "UK is going to win on a last-second field goal." Over the years I've watched him nail games down to almost their final score.

But here's a weird thing: he doesn't really watch the games a whole lot. He'll pay about half-attention. He isn't a fan like many of us are. He doesn't follow it that closely where he'll carve out his day to watch UK. But he's always been good at memorizing stats, players...even from years ago. Maybe the trick is that if you want to predict games well--pay attention but not *that much* attention. Sometimes I think my NCAA bracket sucks because I watch too much.
It's the same phenomenon as the person who never watches basketball that wins the office bracket pool.

We're traditionally terrible in these games. I'm predicting disappointment.

        Kentucky 14

A little different with my friend because he's a huge sports fan. He could tell you the two starting fives of the 1984 national championship game. He's just not an active observer for the most part. He watches when he can.

But a friend of mine from work did win our bracket last year. And it was a significant bracket. Hundreds of entries. She had literally never watched a college basketball game and flipped a coin for most of her picks after the first round.

UK always seems to lose this type of game. Until last week Mizzou's defense had been really good. Feels like last week was an anomaly. They can score and I'm not sure UK can score enough without throwing (which we are awful at).

            Mizzou - 27
            UK - 17

Mizzou has been hit hard by the injury bug on D. If we run the ball the way we have been, then it's in the bag imo.

The folks who gamble sure don't like us. The line just went up to 6.

No prediction. but all the hope and wishes I can muster. Today is so big.

I've remained mostly aloof this season, but this game has some excitement creeping up on me. This game is the pressure game. Win this one, and six is likely, if not assured.

                  Go Cats!

It isn't Vegas pushing the point spread after the initial odds were published. The initial spread of 2.5 was an educated (statistical) guess with the objective being to get equal action from betters on both sides. Vegas makes money on the "juice," that is, their cut regardless of who wins. The movement from 2.5 to 6 points indicated too much action or too many bets placed on Missouri. So how do you balance the equation to get more Kentucky bets? You increase the points until the amount bet on Kentucky to cover is close to balancing or equaling the amount bet on Missouri. You can expect the odds to change up to kickoff if there is a need to get more Kentucky bets to balance the amount bet on Missouri. The odds right now suggest to me that Missouri betters are strong in their belief that Mizzou will cover.
