    Now for the tough run

Five game season. Win two an a bowling UK will go for the first time since Bennie Snell was in the seventh grade.
Pick up another and that opening game second half meltdown will be a faded memory.
find a way for one more and the twelve million dollar buyout will be a topic we forget.
Just get one.......well, everyone's memory gets much better.

If ever there was a big stretch in a young coach's career, we are looking at it.
two of our opponents are playing for pride, and perhaps frustration.
one is struggling to find a way to use more talent than we normally see on a football team..Georgia is one killer out.
One is the SEC East pre-season favorite, and we've had very little success against the Orange.
The final is the team coached by the guy everyone detests, but many want the AD fired for not hiring him...with a heismann level quarterback.

    walk in the park, Coach.
Just keep on finding a way.

You've got to think we beat Austin Peay. That gives us five so we have to get one of Missouri, Georgia, Tennessee, or Louisville. I don't think we have a chance at Tennessee and I expect Louisville to beat us by 64. So, if we get either Georgia or Missouri we go bowling. Both and they might rename the practice facility after Stoops.

I am so hopeful we beat Missouri Sat. There's no way I want bowl eligibility to hinge on our having to beat jawja.

Agreed. Regardless of how poor they've been recently they still have arguably the best RB duo in the country. If we beat Missouri though, you might see them come out and play super loose and relaxed against the bulldogs, which could be a good thing.

Right. When they're healthy there's not two better backs, on the same team, in the country, in my opinion.

Its all about taking it one match at a time and keep setting our goals higher. We really need to hang on and keep it going strong like we are now.

Agreed.Georgia has the two guys that would give Alabama competition in the backfield. Georgia as a team has a history of bizarre Jekyll and Hyde games once or twice a season. It plagued Richt most of his career. Now Smart has his own versions.

Missouri is definitely the key.the huge win against State set the table. Now the Cats have to find a way to finish it. APSU is the only given. Georgia is STILL a reach for me...talent level. Tennessee and Louisville seem out of reach, but a win over them would be gravy.

                And I love gravy.

Well, I am going to don the optimist hat for a moment, at least, so bear with me.

Mizzou lost at home to MTSU and is winless in the conference.
UGA lost AT HOME to Vandy.
And, the scariest thing about UT is that they are UT. They struggled to beat Appy State, lost at home to Alabama worst than we did on the road, and, in fairness, is horribly beat up injury-wise right now.

So, do we go 3-0? Hardly. But, I would say only UofL is out of reach at this point.

Mizzou is a winnable game, and we will win it if we prepare, focus and execute. And, have everybody healthy.

Man, "what if" we had beaten Southern Miss! 5-2 right now would be pretty sweet.

I said before the Vandy they needed win the next three to get a bowl. Two down and one to go. Missouri is hugely important for entire program. Mizzou is pretty terrible this year. They just lost to Middle Tennessee this past weekend. But its a road game and anything could happen on the road. It is looking much better for a bowl. Maybe an even a better one if things break right. But as the old saying goes, one game at a time.

The birds will run up the score as much as possible. My hope there is no injuries. As for the other conference games, need 1. Hard to believe after the way the season began

I think injury wise, we are pretty good maybe just minor stuff that can be worked off. I think we can beat Missouri, probably a strong fight but we can take them. We are in a better position than what we was in the beginning. We just need to keep this going and not get any more injuries.
