I would like to know what happened. They said arrested for carrying a hand gun illegally because he had a CCDW permit for Louisiana but not Alabama. I just checked and his permit should have been reciprocal in Alabama which means he was legally carrying.

The thing with CCDW is the laws of other jurisdictions may differ from the laws of your licensing state regarding the circumstances under which you may legally carry a concealed weapon.Even the KSP website states that you should contact a state that has a reciprocal agreement to know and understand the small print in the other states CCDW laws.

I understand that, but short of carrying in a place where it's illegal I can't think of anything that it could've been. Maybe in the wrong part of his car? I've traveled quite a bit with mine and that's the only thing that differs from one state to another that I've found.
