For the record, I also hope it's not true. The thought of this being a smear job against Stoops sickens me.

I guess we just want to the truth to get out there. If true, Stoops needs to face the consequences of his actions. If not, Stoops would appear to have grounds for a lawsuit against the people / persons who started all this.

      I see what you're saying
I'm not disagreeing other than when things happen between supervisors and those they supervise, it's never simple.
      Ask a few former Generals.
It really doesn't matter if this happened if it were at the University or not.
football coaches don't punch time clocks....they are always on duty.

And yes, there is much chatter. Mods on other boards I visit have been sweating bullets deleting random threads.

And also yes, I certainly hope this is NOT true. But in all honesty, I have no earthly idea why any group would go to a smear campaign against this coach, unless it were some of the psycho fan faction trying in a sick way to force a change.
Exactly. If these rumors are true, what reason would UK have to wait until after today's game to make a move? NONE, which makes me believe there is nothing to it other than some sick individual trying to start something.

If this is just a smear campaign its for the reason of trying to get him out and using that as a reason, cause you look all over and you see threads of fire Stoops, hes a bad coach, etc...
UK probably has rules against people dating their subordinates.

Oddest thing is that no one is acknowledging it. Rowland was the first one that said something about it. Jones isn't even refuting it. Regardless if it's just a rumor, Jones usually will come out and and at least shoot it down. Only thing he said on the pregame was he believes MOST of the rumors were false and that they couldn't talk about it.

If nothing comes of this by the time I get home from Church tomorrow, this thread is history!!

If the rumors were true, Stoops would've been fired regardless of the outcome of the game tonight. He may still get fired this year, but this rumor was likely bogus.

Yeah looks like bologna. Stoops certainly wasn't acting like someone who's job was hanging over his head. And if the players came out and just crapped the bed then there might have been some validity to the rumors. Glad it's not looking like it.

I've got a few really good connections and I promise that I won't start BS. It's over for Stoops. Thanks for the appreciation.

Can you elaborate any? I mean it seems the consensus on the rumor is about the same. Was what you brought up along the same lines?

The reason I posted this stuff a day or two ago is the same as what everyone is hearing. He's done.

He's done according to the title IX office? A board of trustee member? The AD?

This stinks of a fan base wanting a buyout free miracle to fire a coach they want gone. If RV posts it, I'll shut up.

I listened to Matt Jones on the way home. He quickly addressed The Stoops dilemma. He heard the rumors all day. Said he researched and is confident it is rumors and said shame on the people who would start something like this to get rid of him. I dunno. So much "smoke" had me believing it going in to the game. It was all the talk of my section. What was going to happen? Who was going to be appointed to finishing out the season as head coach. Now I have some hope that maybe this ugly thing is not true. Not saying he won't be let go at the end of the season, but not for the reason that is being said.

Listen, do you think there is anything in his contract about morals or conduct? The guy is done and his buyout will be a million or two (if he's lucky) and a tough road ahead for CMS.
