UK has definitely had their fair share of the drops. How many did Timmons have last year? Even going back to Mumme. He had to put in a ton of work with the receivers to get them catching the ball. I can remember tennis ball drills he was doing because the receivers he had on board when he arrived were bad. Heck, Freddie Maggard would have been the leading passer in the SEC if his guys had caught half of the passes they dropped. It's been an issue at UK for a while. Has to be the quality of the Rs we have on the roster. There are some kids that have sure hands, some that have decent hands and some that have blocks. Not sure we have any sure hands right now. Plus, Pat doesn't always put it where they need it. You can't be catching screens at your ankles or hitch passes behind you when you have to make a move and get upfield quick. The QB has to help his guys out there and get it to them where they can make a play.

You mean you missed LaRod King, E.J. Fields, Robinson, and Matt Roark. Roark redeemed himself totally playing QB. Before that amazing performance I wondered if he could catch a cold wearing shorts and a t-shirt jogging barefooted in an ice storm in January. Haven't heard about Fields? Well, there you go. I've seen Baker make circus catches. I know he's dropped some but he's not anywhere close to the standard set by the 2012 receiving corp. I've seen two pass interference calls that weren't called. Mostly, balls were being thrown behind him and the other receivers. I don't think they really care who's throwing the ball. Baker blocks and WR's who don't care won't block. That's an acquired skill forced on WR's at the university level. Juice has taken some awful hits. I don't know how he can walk and chew gum at the same time.Comment

I'm not saying anyone's dogging it. At least they shouldn't be, but it's no secret receivers like playing with a QB that throws a nice catchable ball.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment

Got killed over the middle three too many times. A qb can only throw you into trouble so many times before you start getting squirrely.Originally posted by John Stuart MillHe who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that... At least we won't be annoyed with the hair flipping. If you're going to act like Broadway Joe perform like Broadway Joe.Comment

QB change ?
It's too bad that Patrick gets the heat and has to deal with the consequences of the play calling.

I forgot to mention missing the wide open guy underneath in favor of jamming the ball downfield into coverage.Originally posted by John Stuart MillHe who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that... Standing at the window in his office, Mark Stoops can see Commonwealth Stadium.
In one of many meetings that he’s had with redshirt freshman quarterback Drew Barker in that office, he motioned toward the stadium.
“‘You’re going to get this opportunity in here, and what you do with it is up to you,’†the Kentucky coach recalled telling Barker, motioning toward the stadium.
On Sunday Stoops met with Barker again, this time to tell him that he would be the Cats’ starting quarterback against Charlotte (2-8) there on Saturday night.
Most of us already knew Drew would be starting Sat., but there's also some info in the article concerning Montgomery's injury, and coach Stoops comments on how confident he feels about the 2016 recruiting class.Last edited by Matt Dillon; 11-17-2015, 02:45 PM.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment
