I think the numbers from the game show Conrad was targeted sufficiently by Towles. Your "He was open all night on Thurs..." implied to me that you think he should have been the target every play & Towles should never look elsewhere nor should plays be designed to go elsewhere. Given what Towles did in the game, I think he made a lot of good receiver choices (two bad ones). Net, I don't get your comment about his being open all night & I still ask, what else do you want (with regard to throwing to the TE)? Get it now? I mana if 3 catches isn't enough for you, tell me how many someone open all night should get?

But apparently as least 33 other times - 24 catches & 6 drops & 3 overthrows - the receivers Towles chose were open. Clearly the INT & the near INT they weren't open. Net, Towles isn't as perfect as we like. So I guess of 44-24-6-2-3 Conrad's three catches = 9 other passes he didn't throw to Conrad.
Was Conrad in game those 9 other throws? Did he go out for a pass or stay in and block? Or was he just not thrown to and open? Towles threw the ball out of bounds 3 times because he couldn't find a receiver. Was Conrad open on those three? I presume you can answer these questions since you know he wasn't throw to when open enough & should have been. Let me know.Last edited by gerntz; 10-20-2015, 03:16 PM.Comment

Well your pre-conceived number must be higher than 3 because Conrad's 3 catches clearly weren't enough for you.

Let me know.During the UK vs AU game 2015, Conrad was WIDE open for ~10 yd gains on pass plays that were thrown to other UK players more tightly covered on at least three occasions. The results of these three plays were incompletions. Two of the three times, this occurred on third down.
Now then, I have stated the same thing, three times, in three different ways. Hopefully that will clear up any confusion about my meaning. I will say that it seems as though you are being intentionally obtuse. I hope that is fun for you.

You're going to have to cut gerntz some slack. He's still trying to figure out why 4, 5, 8, 7, 3, and 7 sums up to 34.Comment

I now know that for you, "He was open all night on Thurs...", means of 44 passes, you think Conrad was the better choice on 3 of them because you think he came open on plays before PT decided to throw to his primary receiver elsewhere. Wonderful second guessing on your part. Wow. Just wow.
You can kiss my sweet obtuse anytime.

Finally a straight answer - even if it comes with demeaning commentary. Thanks.

Of the times he was out in the pattern I would bet that he was open a very high percentage, ergo "'open all night".
