I just cannot understand how, in a game of this magnitude, you can only get eight guys on the field when you are about to get the ball back to potentially win the game. That is on the coaches !!!

I am not making my comments out of anger or frustration and I am certainly not calling for anybody's job or anything like that. I just think that this staff -- including and maybe especially CMS -- have a learning curve to climb in terms of in-game management. We can all question play-calling -- great when it works, poor when it doesn't. The game-tying pass on 4th down to Baker last week was VERY risky -- but it worked. The 3rd down pass to Badet in the last minute this week was VERY risky -- and it didn't work. But, it is more than just that. Clock management has been consistently questionable. It is too bad that this team and this fan base has to go through the growing pains, but it is all part of the process. Hopefully it will all be worth it some day soon.👍 1Comment

The bright side of young talented athletes dropping passes and making mistakes is this. They will learn from their miscues and become veteran talented athletes, and with the other talented athletes we have coming in, we will win these winable games. I'm still excited about the future of Kentucky Football.John 3:3

Great evening for a game. So glad we played well in the second half and had a chance to win. Things are moving in the right direction.
I agree that the staff is probably learning as well but such is life. I am really excited about the way the program is being constructed.Originally posted by John Stuart MillHe who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that... It is a process! 2 yrs ago we would have lost by 30 points, Auburn and Florida, we had a chance to win, but screwed it up. All signs of players and coaches learning how to win. Defense stunk it up first half, but at least coaches made adjustments, and we were much much better second half, that tells me at least the staff is learning to adjust. While very disappointed, still think the future looks bright for UK Football!Comment

We scored enough points to win. Your defense can't give up 400 yards of offense to your opponent and expect to win. Well, unless you're Auburn.Comment

You have got to be kidding me. We are so much better off than we were with Brown.
I don't like the last run play or the short dropped pass; but on the whole the play calling was fine. The players left lots of opportunities on the field. Patrick (who played well) needs to learn to hit his wide open TE for first downs instead of the lower percentage deep pass.Originally posted by John Stuart MillHe who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that... About the game, dropped passes and a poor kicking game killed us and that's the bottom line.Comment

Frustrating, outplayed them. Poor decision by Towles. Bad no call on pass interference, bad clock management, drop in the end zone by Baker. The lack of pass rush really hurt them defensively, also no blitz disguises nothing from the perimeter.Last edited by UK39; 10-16-2015, 01:55 AM.Comment

One of the big shames, in losing this game, in my opinion, is that it was probably the most winnable of the four.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment

Close but no cigar. That's UK football in a nutshell. Always has been and maybe always will be. After a while you just get kind of numb to these type of losses. You just sort of laugh and say "That's Kentucky football." Oh well, we will strap'em on next week and see how close we can get down in Starkeville Mississippi.Kentucky fan since 1971.Comment

This. I think if you put this team in the Florida and Auburn games next year we would make the plays necessary to win.Philippians 4:11-4:13👍 1Comment
