Brock Coffman out of UofL is now a wildcat. He played high school football at Lexington Sayre School. Was a 3 Star out of High School. He red-shirted last year only playing in 2 games. He has 4 years remaining.

You turn your head for a minute and you miss another commit .... What are we up to now with just the portal?

If my ciphering is correct, naught into naught and all that jazz, we are Up to 29, unless I missed someone. Hopefully 30 will be Deandre Moore but it sounds like Colorado and Prime Time are showing him the most love and have the momentum.

This doesn't seem like a big signing, but I saw he also visited Ohio State?

Some of these guys are just for depth to fill out our roster. We still need a WR 1 and WR 2 desperately. We may end up having to overpay being late in the game and not a ton of options left. I’m sure we have a good plan though. I think we end up losing the Texas kid to Colorado but we’ll see.

There is A LOT (and I mean A LOT) more video of Cruver than there is of Long....which makes me think he may have been a more highly touted and sought after prospect coming out of high school (???)

From all reports, I believe that Cruver will redshirt this year. I guess that means the backup QB spot this season will likely be between Ponatoski and Long.

Don't forget Ward is still on the team. I think he will be backup if we don't get another Qb.

I believe FAU was his only FBS offer. He originally committed to Drake. If I was to guess the depth chart at QB for the upcoming year, I would guess:

                    QB1 - Kenny Minchey
                    QB2 - Brennan Ward
                    QB3 - JacQai Long/Matt Ponatowski

I forgot about Ward (although I'm not exactly sure how he factors into the mix)

Honestly, I think after you get past Minchey it is wide open. I don't see anyone as a clear #2, #3, etc. I think Ponatoski has the most upside, but he's a true freshman. It will be interesting to see how it unfolds

I can agree with that. Let's hope Minchey doesn't get hurt!

Ward looked good in that one series they gave him. I was actually a little surprised.

With Saunders leaving, I think it showed he was behind Ward on the depth chart. We only got to see a snippet of Ward, but he played very well in that little bit of time he was in there. Will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

Dont forget Ward who played in a game this year. He has the look and I think he will be in the battle for QB 1 or 2. But 2 for sure.

Ward got in before Saunders, I think he was Qb 2 by the end of the year. I thought he looked good also, surprised me.
