If Barnhart hires Chip Kelly, I’m gone again. Not too keen on Dan Mullen either.

If we get Brain Hartline, I’m drinking Blue Koolaide. This guy is really good and we already have Mike. Brian recruited and coached the best WR’s in the country.

Tell ya the truth, I never liked Stoops early on. When he had Coen I stuck in there and got fooled again after he left. But, yes, they sucked me in again.

I really liked Curry, I was wrong
        I liked Mumme, wrong
Brooks take it over leave it
Joker I really wanted him to succeed
        Morris, LOL
I don’t consider Stoops the best ever. He probably wasted half his losses with micromanaging.

Roland just put out there that a 2nd interview with Stein has taken place. So we shall see.

I'll echo others in that I want no retread hires. I like that we are pursuing young guys. Whoever takes it will need energy and fresh ideas. I'd lean Hartline due to recruiting and his obvious Ohio connections. But Stein is great, too. Either way I'm ready for the next chapter.

Mitch has a lot of flaws, but he's got a track record of hiring successful football coaches...more-so than most AD's. His football hires as an AD:

Dennis Erickson - took Oregon State to the Fiesta Bowl
              Rich Brooks
              Joker Phillips
              Mark Stoops

3 out of 4 good hires is pretty good in college athletics. I'd put it up against any AD in the country who has been doing it for 20+ years.

Love the idea of pursuing a young magnetic, innovative man with energy to burn. Hartline or Stein would do for me!

We’re all in agreement, call up Barnhart and let him know. Smile ?

The SEC is always brutal. I think a young, energetic coach would love the challenge.

The jet from Lexington to Columbus landed at about 4:30 EST. Despite all the indications that Stein has been selected, I'll wait for something official.

Young and hungry AND offensive excitement as well as an aptitude for defense or, at least, the ability to hire someone who can coach defense.

                              No Stoopses or Mummies.
