Nope. No way to know but I believe he'd be the same philosophy we're operating under now. Time for a complete reset rather than just changing the captain of the ship.

Well, I was considering how incompetent our AD is and he could save some face by promoting Brad.

I believe Brad would coach defense, hire a good OC and coach as he would. I don’t know him personally, maybe you’re correct.

I'm with youSjslhill. I'm probably in the minority, but I think White has *generally* held up his end of the bargain and has a lot more going on between the ears than CMP. It's not often said, but, like the offense, I think Stoops has his fingerprints all over the defensive side of the ball (naturally), insisting on zone-heavy and conservative play so (in theory) his offenses are always in the game.

I do wonder how White would call defenses without Stoops' influence.

I also think he'd make much better OC hires than Stoops, though I don't think he'll ever get the chance. Just my opinion.

Let's see how Brad does against UTn, a team he has had problems with in the past.

Sumrall is going to be the first call Mitch make when the time comes. I think that's almost a certainty. Brad White can go cut his teeth at a place like Tulane. I like Brad White, and think he could do well, but He's been under Stoops for so long, I think a lot of Stoops habits might have rubbed off on him. I appreciate Brad's loyalty to Stoops though, he could have bolted for greener pastures long ago. he offered some coaching continuity on that side of the ball. Something the offensive side sorely lacked.

I think if Sumrall somehow says nah, then Mitch will turn to Dan Mullins as call #2. Not sure what I think about that. Could do worse, but I think we'd peak at slightly above mediocrity with him. 7-9 wins a year with decent bowl games, but that's about it. The guy can coach, but he can't recruit to the level he needs to win championships.

That's just my opinion, personally I think Will Stein should be call #2, but I doubt he's even on Mitch's radar.

                  I, too, applaud his loyalty.

Mullins being the choice if Sumrall doesn’t come here makes some sense.

I’ll be interested in where White goes next after UK and will follow his career with interest. Tulane may be a good shout, but think he’ll land back in the NFL.

As I remember it, Mullins was faulted for not being committed to recruiting at Florida. If he had a problem recruiting for them, seems like it would be even more of a problem at UK. On the other hand, he did well recruiting while at Miss St.

I wouldn’t spend all that money to get Sumrall. It’s gonna take at least $9 million for another 5-7 years. Personally, I believe this is totally ignorant. Sumrall would be taking a huge risk coming here, could be the end of his career. Hire White and get a really good OC. White is proven, add someone to get the offense going. Look at what Coen did, case closed.

As long as Stoops is here you can’t blame an OC or DC for anything, he micromanages everything on the sideline.

In about 1 1/2 wks. Saban will be 74. I doubt he ever coaches again.

The only guy who is a head coach now that might take it would be Sumrall. Franklin may try it too but I'm not sure how excited everyone would be. Hot shot OC's (and I don't even know all their names) who would be intriguing to me:

                              Hartline at Ohio State
                              Oregon OC
                              Oklahoma OC
                              Bama OC
