Rams OC- Edit: Coen to LA Rams

This pure speculation on my part, I have no inside info. OK the current OC of the RAMs, Kevin O'Connell, is expected to be named head coach of the Viking after the Super Bowl. If so, will Coen be a prime candidate to replace O'Connell? I fear he will. Seems like it would be difficult for Coen to turn down.

Or the Vikings will need an OC. Ugg, I hate this.

Already read that Coen may be a candidate for the Rams OC if the Vikings story is true.

First Wolford and now, possibly, Coen. I hope coach Stoops has some sterling prospects in mind.

Matt Jones retweeted a Rams reporter last night that mentioned assistant HC Thomas Brown would be the obvious in house choice but there would most likely be serious interest in Coen. A lot of Rams fans want Brown to get the job. My opinion, it will be an NFL team that gets Coen before any other school.

I agree with the NFL team comment. Was never concerned regarding the Miami rumors.

Coen will be an NFL head coach within 4 years. McVay's coaching tree is getting to be impressive and Coen seems be on track for what an NFL offensive oriented team will want.

It would be the right move for Coen, but I hope against hope that he remains here for one more year.

I love that guy. Love love love him as a coach.

100%! I told all the UK fans in my day to day when he was hired that if he left after 2 years then the experiment was a success. With what's coming back next year, there's no reason to think otherwise. IF, he stays.

The kind of stuff happening with our coaches this off-season is the biggest tell that UK is finally getting where they want to be as a program. The big boys in college football are always losing coaches as they are offered more prestigious jobs. Rather have guys that everybody wants than fellas nobody wants. It works the other way too, we will start attracting guys who wouldn’t have considered us in the past. Success has its price

Exactly, Jload. This could be a defining moment, for the program, depending on who coach Stoops hires as replacement(s).

I have criticized Stoops in the past for some of his game coaching decisions, especially clock management and conservative coaching with the lead, but I have to say his choices regarding coaches and program management are top shelf. I trust he will bring in the right guys to fill these empty spots, things look better right now than I can ever remember, and I go back to the pre Ray era.

Coen prime candidate for Rams OC?

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Kentucky Football OC Liam Coen is "a prime candidate" to take the same position with the Rams.

We this is just exhausting. I do not know how Stoops can live with this all the time. I will say this, though — from all I have read, Coen certainly does not act like someone who may soon be moving on.

Part of me feels like we keep Coen a few years and he leaves for a NFL head coaching job.
