I love this post.
Good to hear from you.
I actually want UT Football to get back to what they used to be... I just want UK to grow to be better than that and to win 2 of every three.

I'd throw Texas, A&M, Oklahoma and Arkansas into the same division and watch the carnage!I wonder what would happen to the Red River Rivalry game between Oklahoma and Texas at the Texas State Fair. It’s a huge, fun event. I’ve been several times and it’s wall to wall people. It’s not my favorite day to visit the fair because of the crowd, especially with children, but I’d stay the night and go back to enjoy it. They run the football from Austin to Dallas. Lots of tradition.
We already have an SEC picnic every year, with people living in Austin who are alums of SEC schools.Comment

I lived in Kingsport TN long enough to know that it's University of Tennessee Knoxville. UT-K. I know some people think that has some weird meaning but they are stupid.^^
To each their own, but I think the Longhorn’s burnt orange is a good color. Love it like Kentucky blue over UNC blue.
However, UT for both has always been problematic for me, outside of Texas. I just say UTexas when referring to Texas in SEC circles. I guess UTX and UTN would work.Comment

Bama and, probably, Ga. I agree with. As far as Auburn and the Gators, I'm not sure just how well they'll fare with Texas and Ok., especially Ok. I'd say the Sooners will make out just fine with Auburn and Fl. and will be able to hold their own with Ga. In my opinion, there are very few teams that can hang with Bama and I don't know if Ok. is one of them.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment

So far the only real key we have is how the respective teams have done bowl wise. Oklahoma has not won a playoff game, and Texas has been to no "major" bowls in over a decade.
Texas football is one bad coaching hire more from becoming what has happened to a once mighty Tennessee or Michigan program.
