Another consideration regarding potential transfers out: Aren’t players allowed only a 1-time transfer? If so, then I do not think Gatewood could transfer again. But, admittedly, I do not know the details of this rule.

Under the the proposed new rule, a player would be granted a one time exception to the rule requiring him to sit out a year when transferring. So, first this is a proposed rule change. Last article I saw indicated it was to be voted on in Jan, that didn't happen best I can tell. Nevertheless the rule is expected to pass. . Gatewood could still transfer, but he would have to sit out a year. I think he would still have three years of eligibility remaining as this year doesn't count. However, he may be limited by the time limit rule. Nor sure how that will work for the Covid year.

I heard that as well. Could be a hundred reasons, but since he is putting in HIS system, it could be he thinks Levis is closer to being what he needs right now. Or maybe not. Levis wont be here for spring, so IF THERE IS SPRING PRACTICE, Coen could change his mind when he gets full eyes on the guys we have.

THERE IS ANOTHER very technical video on YouTube. This is about 15 minutes on Levis breaking down his game and his issues. The poster is a Penn State fan who points out how much Levis needs to work on. If he needs to learn so much, I doubt he will play in 2021. Search you tube for Levis. Great arm...is he accurate?

In the few appearances he made, with Penn St., he had two Int's. in 102 attempts and a 60% completion rating. Right now, we just don't have enough to base an informed decision on as to how good, or not, he is. My feeling is I hope he's good enough to help the team if it needs his help, but I'd like to see Gatewood and Allen as one and two (not particularly in the order I typed their names).

Good post Matt. I think we all need to look at it that way.
maybe a rerun of what one kid brought to LSU, maybe a guy that wants to just finish out at another school. Could be it shows after Gatewood and Allen, UK has some guys that MIGHT not ever be ready for a shot....because of limited ability, injury, or a dozen reasons.
