Should be a good game. We need the practice and the money.Originally posted by John Stuart MillHe who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that... Big money comes from the total bowl payout pool. Last year, the Gator was the lowest paid of the 4 bowl (Music City, Liberty,Belk/Duke Mayo)those other three have a total payout about 5.2 mill...the Gator about 3.7 mill.
being on Florida and the name adds to the gator-TaxSlayer. End of day, being in conference theres not just a ton of difference in money when everything is divided up.Comment

Kentucky's money would be the same whether they played in a Bowl or not. Per SEC rules, all SEC teams get the same amount of money from all Bowls SEC teams play in.John 3:3

While I welcome another game, and the extra practices, USCjr is going bowling with TWO wins. Meanwhile Army, at 9-2, won't play in the Independence Bowl because it has been cancelled. However, the MILITARY Bowl is looking for some teams! What in the wide wide world of sports is going on here!?!? While going to five straight bowls is nice, I can't help but feel this one wasn't earned.Isaiah 5:20Comment

On teams going with two or three wins, there are so many teams that either can't go due to COVID-19 or are choosing not to go, that the bowl committees are having to take just about anyone. Plus some of the bowls are further hampered by having conference tie-ins. Not being able to find a bowl for Army, especially with one named the Military bowl, is puzzling, to say the least though.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment

Which means KY playing in a bowl (if no other SEC was) adds to the total pool. That's my point, the more SEC schools go bowling the better.Originally posted by John Stuart MillHe who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that... Not quite correct. The bowl payout is divided 16 ways with each non participating school receiving a share, the conference office receives a share but the participating school receives two shares.Comment
