They had to be aware of his history. I'd like to know what their motivation was. Perhaps it was a win at all costs thing or the opportunity to hire a recognizable coach. Who knows?

Their AD is Kyle Moats, who worked in the athletic departments of UK and U-6 in the past 15 years or so. He should know all about him.

Hopefully, he'll realize he's running out of time and chances and get his act together.

A coach like Petrino will find it hard to change his ways, especially if he can't recruit at a high level. Of course every kid with a sketchy past will be the ones he will be after. Missouri State is on their way down. IMO.

He did not misbehave to the best of my knowledge.

He didn't misbehave as he did at Arkansas. From what I understand, he treated his staff and players awful and maybe his worst mistake was to hire his son and another relative as assistants. His son was the QB coach.

Bobby Petrino had a parachute clause in his contract that as long as Tom Jurich was the AD, Petrinos buyout would be cut by 50 percent if he bolted again. This is what I understood from some Louisville fans that would sink down to talking to a UK fan in that monstrous run when they were major bowling, winning a title, and finishing final four in women's basketball.
when it hit the fan, of all people it was honest Bobby P that was left.....but lo and behold his buyout DOUBLED when Jurich was released. I know from what I read Grissom (head of the board) was not an athletics fan, and Tyra has seemed to want to run a decent program(s).
Bobby laid down so he could get fired and draw a double payday.

And to think.....a LOT of UK fans wanted him when he left WKU.
