I feel bad as well Sean. Stoops and Co. are good preparers. Stoops is a players coach. He is just one of the guys and is hard nosed as all get out. Took him a bit to grow into the role but you saw the toughness from the get go. LOVE our coach!

Not a bourbon guy, but a glass of Three Floyd’s Alpha Klaus is tasting really good about now.

Bowden after the game, “You took a kid from a Youngstown and turned him into a man.” Even that gets to this guy. Love you Lynn! You will be missed!

I’ve always been a basketball guy, but when your team is good and wins, there’s nothing like football. I’m ready to run through my garage door right now.

I tell you what Dwight. I have found myself becoming more of a football fan over the years. Have always lived or died by our games, but Stoops and Co. have turned us around more than I thought they could. Here is the scary part. Gran has yet to truly run his offense. I take back everything negative I have ever said about this staff. Unbelievable effort and record to this point. The recruiting is finally catching up. The future is VERY bright.

I agree. I think next year is going to be really fun.

Put Lynn Bowden on the ring of honor tomorrow.

I may have to get season tickets next season. Have the feeling it will be a special one. We are so young.

I've been a UK fan, basketball and football, since the mid 70's. Basketball beat Duke for the National Championship in the Checker Dome in St. Louis in 1978. Goose Givens scored 41 in that game. Football struggled, but I admired those players. They gave it their all. I watched Ky run Higgs and Logan up the middle 4 straight times from 1st and goal against Tn in the late 80's. They didn't score. I watched Ky football in the 80's, up 28-0 over Alabama going into ther 4th quarter. Ky lost. I watched Kentucky football lose to LSU in the miracle in the Bluegrass. I watched Ky beat the LSU team that won a national championship. I have been with UK basketball and football through thick and thin. This is a great era for Ky football.

I told my wife, daughters, and friends last year that Ky needed to find a way to get the ball in Bowdin's hands more. I guess I got what I wanted.

                          But I was right!!!

My early memories are the Curci squads but I REALLY bought into Claiborne. Loved his hard nosed teams. Those back to back Hall of Fame Bowls were big deals around here. Had a good thing with Mumme. If only he cared about defense. I really thought GuyMo was THE guy for here but he bolted for Baylor. Will never forget that MSU game where he punched the locker. Loved Brooks but he left too early and The Joke was just that. It is really hard to fathom just how bare Joker left the cupboard. Stoops came in with a plan. The right plan. Thank goodness Mitch stuck with him. We are reaping the benefits and we will only get bettee. Top 20 facilities getting paired with Top 20 recruiting classes. In a bout 2 years we should be REALLY good, but I will take what we have been getting.
