One of Gatewood's WRs at Auburn, Marquis McClain, entered the transfer portal (as did Auburn LB Michael Harris). McClain started the season opener but didn't get much action after that. He's a graduate transfer, eligible to play one year next year.
Redshirt freshman linebacker Michael Harris and redshirt junior wide receiver Marquis McClain announced they would be leaving Auburn.
Michigan LB Jordan Anthony entered the portal, as did Michigan safety J'Marick Woods.
Michigan redshirt sophomore linebacker Jordan Anthony didn’t see much playing time this season and has entered the transfer portal.
Safety Elijah Gaines decommitted from Penn State. 6'2", from Virginia; no Kentucky involvement (so far).
Oregon State safety Kee Whetzel, from Florida, entered the portal. He's 6'3", the kind of tall, strong DB Stoops likes (and makes into really good players).
Whetzel played outside linebacker for the Beavers in 2017 and 2018, then moved to safety this past spring
Florida State DT Malcolm Lamar entered the portal. Kentucky apparently offered him as a 4 star prospect in 2018.
1,942 FBS players entered the transfer portal in its first year.
Meanwhile, the NCAA's generosity to Ohio State continues, as their LB Justin Hilliard was given a sixth year of eligibility.
Hilliard redshirted his first season in 2015, then played just one game in 2016. He played 11 games in 2017, eight last year and eight this year.
WKU's former leading rusher entered the portal.
Western Kentucky redshirt sophomore Joshua Samuel has entered the NCAA’s transfer portal, the running back announced via Twitter on Thursday. Samuel led the Hilltoppers in rushing in 2018 before playing sparingly this season behind Gaej Walker. Samuel had just six carries for 17 yards in four appearances this season. The most game time he saw […]Comment

I agree the future's looking brighter than it has in a long time. Back to the '77 team for a moment, it wasn't just their 10-1 record, but they beat Penn State at Penn St., Georgia in Athens, LSU at Baton Rouge and Florida in Gainesville. A little history below if anyone's interested.

Maybe because he'll have to sit out because of the transfer? If he has to sit out there's no point in giving him reps that people who will play could get. But, that's contingent on him not getting his waiver approved, if he in fact applies for one.Comment

Sorry, but not allowing him to participate in spring practice for that reason would be very unusual. Where did you here that he would not participate in spring practice? As for applying for a waiver, what has he got to lose?Comment

He will ABSOLUTELY participate in spring practice. (unless he is injured)Originally posted by John Stuart MillHe who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that... He must be able to hear them from persons who actually believe them...he must know them in their most plausible and persuasive form.Originally posted by Robert “Hoot†GibsonNo matter how bad things may seem, you can always make them worse.Comment

I think likely. To be back to 100% is probably 18 months. He may be able to play after 10-12, but I don’t ever expect to see the full Terry Touchdown show again. Sadly.
Edit to add: Apparently one can conceivably return to sports after 6 months.Last edited by Spiritof96; 12-09-2019, 07:04 PM.Originally posted by John Stuart MillHe who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that... I haven't heard he's not participating for certain, it just wouldn't make sense to give him reps that guys could take who could play. Also he's got nothing to lose by applying for a waiver. I'm not sure if I implied that he did so if so I apologize.Comment
