To be honest, Brohm is not yet worth what Purdue reportedly countered with.
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

UL's program is in free fall. The talent level is low. Atmosphere sucks. Guys looking to transfer. Pathetic 2019 recruiting class. Amazing fan base. And on and on....Maybe I'm missing something, but other than Brohm, I don't see anyone out there up for this rebuild. Really possible they're going to struggle for a while.

Even if he gets to where he wins 9 or 10 games a year he may not be worth what they're reportedly paying him.

Coaches' salaries were out of control years ago and it has only gotten worse since then.

Now, Louisville is competing with Colorado, Georgia Tech, Maryland, North Carolina and Texas Tech for available coaches. Or, a better way to put it may be that those schools are all on the table for coaches and their agents to play against each other for more money.

Colorado's interim coach is former UK assistant coach Kurt Roper.

Another former UK assistant coach, Wesley McGriff, was just relieved of his duties as Ole Miss' defensive coordinator.

Louisville is crashed and burned. Just two years and about three weeks from being considered a strong shot for playoffs, with a heisman winner.
            fortunes change quick.

like Matt had stated in the op . This had seemed a done deal.

Really good interview Drew Deener had with Jeff Brohm this morning. Loads of respect for Brohm regarding his reasons to stay at Purdue and the discussions (sometimes heated) he had with his family behind closed doors. It'll be interesting to see what Purdue is paying him, because he said that UofL was competitive in their offer and money wasn't an issue. He joked to Deener, "you've seen the car I drive" - an old Honda.

Deener asked him how difficult it was to tell his dad he wanted to remain at Purdue. Brohm said it was very difficult, talking about how you want your kids to be able to see their grandparents more, eventually choking up and going silent for several seconds. He came back and simply said, "It was extremely hard".

My hat's off to the guy. He seems to be a class act and cares deeply for his family and Louisville, but also wants to finish what he started at Purdue.

He really just wants the UK job after Stoops goes to the NFL.
